~ Clare Cooper, repeatedly to Gumball and Darwin in "The Others". |
Clare Cooper is a supporting character in The Amazing World of Gumball. She made her debut in the episode "The Others" as one of many newly introduced characters.
She is voiced by Naomi McDonald.
Appearance[]
She is a grey-skinned humanoid girl with long, glittery, green hair. She wears a white shirt under a hot pink jacket with sprinkle-like yellow lines dotted across, along with black pants, yellow boots, and scrunched-up socks.
Personality[]
She is a very pessimistic, irritable, and dejected individual, as after her family faces financial issues, she refuses Gumball and Darwin's help and instead mopes the entire day, reprimanding them for living in a "magical happy wonderland." However, she deeply values those whom she cares about, as she spends what she assumed to be her last hours in Elmore saying goodbye to them. She speaks in a calm, poetic, and figurative manner, using metaphors to express her melancholy.
Biography[]
After her father, George, lost his job, the family was forced to move back to Detroit. In the little time she had left in Elmore, she said goodbye to Wilson, Mr. Corneille, and her love interest, Jared, but was constantly annoyed by Gumball and Darwin, even though they intended to help her. In the end, Gumball and Darwin saved the day through reckless means, but ultimately allowing Clare to remain in Elmore with her friends and her dad. They managed this by getting her father a job as an engineer at the Rainbow Factory and convincing Hector's mother to repurchase Clare's house using a pot of leprechaun gold. Clare reluctantly accepted this outcome to avoid further chaos.
Trivia[]
