Heroine Overview

Cloudy Jay Putter (better known as "CJ" ) is a cloud-humanoid girl who is Mordecai's ex-girlfriend, later current friend and supporter character in Regular Show.

She hangs out with Mordecai for a little bit after they met on Couple Corral. She is also good at video games. She returns in "New Year's Kiss" where she and Mordecai unknowingly kiss each other at a masquerade ball.

She is voiced by Linda Cardellini who also played Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo live-action movies and voiced Wendy Corduroy from Gravity Falls.

Appearance[]

CJ is a cloud-humanoid with white skin and a cloud-like head and "hair" that looks as if it's tied in a pony-tail with a big bushy fringe. She wears red-striped tank top (Goofed light orange while playing Laser Tag), brown shorts, and small black boots. Similar to Benson, when upset or angry, her skin turns a reddish-grey, and her entire body becomes a giant storm cloud. Her height is 5'8".

As seen in “Real Date”, CJ had many different hairstyles over the years, including: a tall flat-top, big pigtails with overalls, wild messy hair, and a goth hairstyle and clothing.

As a little girl, as seen in “Daddy Issues”, CJ wore her hair in pigtails, and the fringe in it was worn lower.

Personality[]

CJ has a kind and cool personality, being an individual who enjoys a lot of the same things that Mordecai does, including video games, rock bands, and generally goofing off, though she deeply cares for her friends. In the episode “Maxin' and Relaxin'”, she also reveals that she is a funny person, a habit similar to Mordecai and Rigby and also smart. The Phone Guardians call her witty and independent. This doesn't mean she won't tease or make fun of others, although it is usually good-spirited. She is also a pro at mini golf, although she resent it as her dad, who is a champion mini golfer, taught her and his highly competitive nature ruined it for her, up until “Daddy Issues” where she competed against him and won, while also earning his respect and an apology.

However, befitting her cloud-like nature, if pushed too far, CJ will morph into a mass array of thunder storms with rain, lightning, and damaging winds. She has a hard time controlling her negative emotions to the point where she can become violent when angry and/or upset or when she is overreacting to something, such as a misunderstanding, and she'll usually act irrational and go into her storm state without her knowing the whole story, or without the other person explaining themselves.

Abilities[]

CJ has the ability to turn into bad weather when she gets angry or upset, as seen in the episode “Real Date”. She is shown to be able to make twisters, lightning, rain, and gale-force winds when she is in this state. If she is just upset, she turns a dark gray-red color, a trait that is very similar to Benson Dunwoody.

As she was trained by her father who is a champion mini golf player, she proves to be exceptionally skilled at playing mini golf.

She is also capable of riding a motorcycle and teaching it proficiently, as in a moments notice she was able to teach Mordecai how to use one when in a dire moment.

She is also a great dodgeball player, as she plays on a team called the Thunder Girls, and wins the tournament in Dodge This. She also becomes a professional dodgeball player in the future, according to Matt Price.

Biography[]

Past[]

According to the season 6 episode "Daddy Issues", CJ is the daughter of golfing pro Carl Putter - CJ’s last name is not Putter and it is just her dad’s golf name. Unfortunately for her whenever they played mini golf he would always get over competitive, be overly critical of her and would never let her win and rubbed it in her face when she lost. She eventually reached her edge when she participated in a mini-golf tournament, after Carl berated her for putting her ball to stop just before the moving obstacle and the fact she was ok with getting second place, saying it was first place for losers. CJ angrily bends her gold club over her leg and storms off, quitting mini golf and not playing until later as an adult.

She was in color guard in the ninth grade, at one point doing a routine to "Whoomp! There It Is!"

Regular Show[]

Season 3[]

She first appeared in the episode "Yes Dude Yes", in which Mordecai started dating her after thinking Margaret was engaged. After learning that Margaret was not getting married, he almost immediately forgets about CJ, leading to an ugly break up at the coffee shop in which she revealed that she can transform into a deadly storm when really angry.

Season 5[]

After Margaret leaves town for college, CJ and Mordecai meet each other at the New Year's Eve dance in the episode "New Year's Kiss", unwittingly kissing each other at midnight.

The following episode, "Dodge This", continues this story days after the kiss with CJ and Mordecai competing against each other in a dodgeball tournament. This leads to awkwardness between the two in the final round of the dodgeball tournament and they are forced to address their issues before the Intergalactic Dodgeball Council. They later agreed just to be friends.

At the end of the episode "I Like You Hi", Mordecai asks CJ out and she agrees to go out with Mordecai.

the following episode, "Play Date", CJ and Mordecai plan to go out, but are interrupted by Death's 300-year-old son, Thomas. As well she with Mordo and Thomas went to hell's playground and later they escapes from that placer.

In the Season 5 finale "Real Date", Mordecai saves her life when the founder of Couple Corral McIntyre tries to get them to break up and they officially become a couple. In "Merry Christmas Mordecai", she sees Mordecai and Margaret accidentally kiss, and drives off very upset.

Season 6[]

In "Sad Sax", Mordecai tries to reconcile with her after receiving advice from "Sad Sax Guy", and they finally get back together.

In the episode "1000th Chopper Flight Party", she screws up and ruins their relationship when Mordecai was with Margaret, at the end Margaret tells her that she has a boyfriend, after that MEH she felts sadness about Mordo.

In "Not Great Double Date," CJ and Mordecai have loosened tension with Margaret, after she appeared to have a boyfriend for herself, and have a double date with Margaret and Del Hanlon to atone for wrecking her dad's party. What they don't know is that Margaret was lying about having a boyfriend so that CJ wouldn't kill her. At the date, they seemed to be getting along well, until Margaret was forced to tell the truth to avoid the Kiss-cam. CJ leaves angrily, and Mordecai runs after her.

Later she and Mordecai break up in "Dumped at the Altar" and wouldn’t speak to each other again.

Season 7[]

In "Rigby's Graduation Day Special", CJ becomes a crossing guard at the High School.

Season 8[]

She is not seen in the finale "A Regular Epic Final Battle", however she becomes a muse for Mordecai's art after Mordecai left the park to pursue a interest in art.

He was too wishy-washy with them!!"
