Codex real name Dylan Brock is the deuteragonist in the marvel comics series Venom.
He is the son of Eddie Brock and Ann Weying being a human/symbiote hybrid. He would also become the new host of Venom.
History[]
Dylan Brock was born when The Venom Symbiote infused eddie's dna with ann's venom codex which caused her to become pregnant and she would soon give birth to Dylan and later hands him over to Carl Brock promising to return to him. But due to the trauma of the Venom Symbiote bonding to her ann committs Suicide and leaves carl to abusive Dylan throught the years. When Eddie first meets Dylan he was badly hurt and thought that Eddie Brock was his half brother not knowning the truth. He asks eddie to kill carl but he didn't mean it. and carl took him. During the Maker's conflict with Venom Dylan decides to live with eddie but Maker had his own plans for the Venom symbiote and wants to restore his home with the help of the other council of reeds members.
Make and Carl both threated dylan but this is where Eddie Learns that Dylan is his long lost son and that the venom symbiote tricked him into thinking that He had an older sister. After feeling guilty about deceving eddie venom left and was captured by Malekith while Dylan and Eddie live on their own. Eddie would meet up with Liz allen and have Dylan befriend Normie Osborn her son. During the Absolute Carnage event Dylan and Norime were trying to survive against the onsalught of symbiote infected people where he meets up with Sleeper and he tries to bond with him but dylan's powers were unlocked and prevented Sleeper from bonding with him.
Dylan used his new powers to fight off against the symbiotes before Dark Carnage appears kidnapping dylan to force eddie/venom into freeing knul or let his son die. Eddie suceeds in destroying carnage but knull is set free and dylan later learns that eddie is his father.During the events of Venom island a piece of the carnage symbiote takes over eddie and dylan uses his new powers to help him but failed against Carnage. Eddie and dylan were able to beat carnage.
In the King in Black event Dylan was brainwashed by Knull into becoming codex in one reality and has him attack the main dylan and eddie with Any weying as agent venom from the other dylan's reality show up to help. Dylan was later brainwashed by Knull into attacking eddie but the uni=power saved venom/eddie and later goes after knull killing him. Dylan was freed but lost his powers and later becomes the new venom with chains. During the the time skip dylan was in high school while Eddie was in space trying to redeem the symbiotes from Knull's corruption. Dylan and Venom watched eddie destroyed and captured by the life foundation but escaped with sleeper. Dylan/Venom would later fight Bedlam who is a future version of eddie brock and lost to him. On the verge of Death dylan would enter the hive and become Codex.
Powers and abilties[]
Thanks to dylan's hybrid status he has superhuman strength,speed,stamina,durabilty,and a healing factor. He can also poesses other symbiotes and connect to the hive mind.
