Codey is the titular mascot of the educational programming website Tynker. In the official games, such as Haunted Manor and Turing's Tower, he serves as the default character if the player does not choose their own avatar.
His sound effects are provided by default cartoon sound effects from the Tynker editor itself.
Appearance[]
Codey is a monster-like creature with blue fur and horns, green eyes, blue eyebrows, and a mouth. For his redesign, his fur has a much darker color and his eyes are much more saturated.
Description[]
In the games, Codey is the default character if the player does not choose their own avatar, such as in Haunted Manor and Turing's Tower, where, in the latter, agrees to help Professor Turing find all of the pieces of his tower and put them back together to stop Enygma and his army of Steambots from stealing its secrets. He is also shown to like candy, as shown in Candy Quest where you must program him to follow a trail of candy and eat them.
In Ada's Adventure, he serves as the former's assistant, helping her in her goal to stop Dr. Glitch and his minions from controlling technology and taking over the world, and in Haunted Manor, he helps his ghost friend retrieve the missing candy from Dr. Glitch's haunted mansion as the latter stole them, and helped the Candy Troll fight off his minions at the end of the game, with the mansion itself being destroyed.
Powers and Abilities[]
Turing's Tower[]
- Enhanced strength - In Turing's Tower, if the player jumps high enough and presses down, Codey will be able to ground-pound, instantly killing small Steambots, but takes multiple hits to defeat larger Steambots.
- Double-jumping - During platforming, Codey has the ability to double-jump in order to reach higher heights.
- Projectile shooting - If the player presses S on their keyboard, Codey will shoot out a projectile that resembles a peppermint, dealing a great amount of damage to enemies, though, as stated above, it takes multiple hits to defeat larger ones.
Other games[]
- Intelligence - Codey is shown to have a decent amount of intelligence, as shown where he was able to shut down Dr. Glitch's plans by hacking into his technology in order to wreck everything after destroying the entire mansion, and in Ada's Adventure, he serves as Ada's assistant.
Trivia[]
- In the editor, Codey is the default sprite.
- His name is a pun on the name and words "Cody" and "code".
