~ Coffee about D-Co 9 using his CPU |
Coffee is a major character in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, serving as the main protagonist of The Desolate Room and The Desolate Hope, as well as an unlockable character in FNaF World. Coffee is an obsessed robot that was created by humans in the Space Station.
His vocal effects were provided by an uncredited Dave Steele, who also voiced Henry Emily in the same franchise.
Background[]
Coffee was created around sometime in the far future when humans had started exploring other planets. It's unknown when exactly he was made given that the exact time and date is unknown; it's clear that it was before humans had made the derelicts. Coffee's main function was to serve humans and act somewhat like a butler which is why he has a coffee pot for a body to begin with and why he's associated with foods and beverages.
The Desolate Room[]
Coffee wakes up in some unknown location at the start of the game, it's some kind of location in which he finds four broken down derelicts. The derelicts he encountered were Alphus, Tool, Derelict and Defect. Coffee starts collecting eggs and giving them to the derelicts despite them being shut down. His reasoning for this was because he thought to himself he would want someone to care for him if he was shut down. Later Coffee would discover some kind of signal underground and Coffee investigates this signal out of curiosity. Coffee out of curiosity proceeds to try and investigate their memories via their hard drives. Coffee is able to do this successfully, however what Coffee didn't expect was to find a virus hidden within the code, it's revealed that the virus manipulated the derelicts into shutting down thus causing them to commit suicide. Coffee after learning this despite knowing that the derelicts were long gone he decides to try and ride the virus from their systems, simply because Coffee didn't like the idea of something hiding inside of his friends corpses, thus Coffee attacks the virus by using his friends USB drives. Coffee was able to summon them and successfully destroy the virus.
The Desolate Hope[]
Coffee at some unknown point left the mysterious island and happened to travel to a space station. It's unknown what exactly was happening while Coffee was on the station as it's intentionally left vague, however Coffee created a program known as D-Co 9. Coffee would find five more derelicts and would attempt to befriend them to gain their trust. It's revealed that at this point humans had gone extinct and had abandoned the station which is why the station was running low on power. Coffee tells D-Co 9 to destroy the viruses lurking within the derelicts by allowing D-Co 9 to use his body in the digital world. It's later revealed that Coffee had lied and tricked them into destroying the anti-virus programs because the derelicts were seeking death since they no longer could serve humans and no longer had a purpose; they couldn't because of the systems humans had installed into them which preventing them from entering sleep mode or shutting down until the humans deemed them finished with their task. Since the humans had died the derelicts had been suffering, after D-Co9 served their purpose it's unknown what happened to them, however it's implied that Coffee destroyed them because he no longer had a use for them. Coffee would shut himself down after he finished his goal and freed the derelicts Coffee made a deal with Bio-Beta to retrieve Sample 217 and Coffee accomplishes this and then becomes human. What happens afterwards is unknown.
FNaF World[]
Coffee Pot will join the team if the player completes FNAF World 57 without obtaining any upgrades. As opposed to most Update 2 characters, Coffee Pot’s attacks are more supportive than offensive, shown clearly by the fact that he has Gift Boxes and Neon Wall 2, both of which are unable to damage enemies but are vital for survival in areas like the Geist Lair, the only attack that works for offensive uses is Mega Virus, which drains large amounts of health from enemies. Gift Boxes give all party members an extra life while Neon Wall 2 will make the entire party completely invincible for 5 seconds.
Adventure Coffee Pot's attacks are:
- - A yellow attack that can revive a dead team member and give the alive members an extra life.
- - A red attack that slowly drains the enemy's HP.
- - A red attack that makes the team invincible for 5 seconds.
FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]
Coffee makes a minor appearance in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted. He only appears in the FNaF 3 levels.
Personality[]
Coffee is very caring and often sets out to do what's right and doesn't mind doing it even if it means sacrificing himself in the process. Coffee is for some reason very obsessed with eggs, he enjoys cooking them and collecting them. Coffee tends to feed eggs to the derelicts who are his friends and Coffee seems to have some sense of honor as he joins Freddy's party should they gain his code. Coffee does have somewhat an ego and sees figures such as D-Co9 below him due to them being his creations and he gets extremely irritated when his creations don't listen to him. Coffee is very manipulative and while he manipulates for good reasons he does tend to manipulate others often, Coffee doesn't like hurting others unless he has to and is willing to destroy threats that are extremely dangerous to him or his friends. Coffee is somewhat Wrathful and arrogant as he destroyed the previous D-Co9 programs because they failed him and Coffee felt that since they couldn't for fill their purpose they should be destroyed, this also makes Coffee somewhat failure intolerant.
