~ Colin offering to help Red Guy and Duck get Yellow Guy out of his brain.

Colin the Computer was the main antagonist of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 4 and a minor supporting character in the Channel 4 TV series.

Like the rest of the teachers in the web series (aside from Sketchbook), he was created by Roy's machine, and ends up taking Red Guy out of the show into the real world. However he redeems himself in the TV series after Red Guy unplugs the machine that created him and the other teachers at the end of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 6, where he helps Red Guy and Duck get Yellow Guy out of his mind in the 4th episode.

He was voiced by co-creator Joseph "Joe" Pelling who also portrayed and voiced Red Guy in the same series.

Appearance[]

Colin is an old-fashioned computer, akin to the kinds of computers that were around during the 80s and 90s. His face is squarish and is located at the bottom of his monitor, his monitor is cubical and his screen is dark green with a grid pattern on it and can project various text and images on it. His keyboard has multi-colored keys that consist of the colors red, yellow, green and blue. His keyboard also functions as his body whenever he's in his more humanoid form. His hands come in the form of two cursors, one being more hand-like, while the other appears as the cursor arrow.

Biography[]

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 4[]

Colin first appears when the trio are asked the question of "What is the biggest thing in the world?". Red Guy tries to ask Colin the question but keeps getting interrupted by him. Colin starts asking questions about the trio (like they're names, what they like eating and where they live) before they begin their internet Journey. Angered by Colin ignoring and interrupting him Red Guy angerly tells him to shut up and hits him, leading to Colin yelling at Red Guy to not touch him.

He then takes the trio into his digital world, with the trio being amazed by it (aside from Red Guy). He then tells the trio that there are 3 things to do in it. These things include but not limited to:

Looking at charts, Dress up in "digital style" and go "digital dancing".

Red Guy eventually gets out of the digital world and it's later revealed in episode 5 that he ended up in the real world.

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 6[]

Colin briefly makes a reappearance in the final episode of the web series. When Red Guy starts tampering with the machine when trying to get Yellow Guy out of the simulation he ends up brining back all the teachers (aside from Sketchbook) from past episodes, with Colin being one of them.

At the end of the episode, Red guy unplugs the machine which frees the teachers of it's influence (most notably including Colin, Tony and The Lamp).

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared (TV Series)[]

After Red Guy unplugs the machine, Colin ends up redeeming himself in the TV Series.

Friendship[]

Colin now makes a visit to the trio every year for "Computer Day".

When Yellow Guy forgets the password Colin gives the trio an alternative way to login where The trio pick an apple and attempt to give it to the right market person. It fails and Colin says "Oops! You've upset the market man!".

When Warren the Eagle shows up and tries to "teach" Red Guy and Duck to be "better friends" after they get mad at Yellow Guy for forgetting the password, the trio (and later Colin) start pointing out things they don't like about him.

Yellow Guy eventually remembers the password and the trio get online. The first thing they do is check their emails. Red Guy and Duck check theirs and receive messages from each other. Then Yellow eagerly checks his inbox but is saddened when there's nothing in it, leading to him going into his mind.

When Warren goes into Yellow Guy's brain Colin offers to help Red Guy and Duck get their friend back. They eventually come across a website called "Dr. Bushman Can Help.com" and they then remember that Warren was inside of Yellow Guys brain. Duck then gets his gouging tools and skewers Warren out of Yellow's brain.

Before Colin leaves, he tells the trio that they've taught him the value of friendship after seeing them care for each other. He then gives them a special glass spiracle computer he invented so that they can go online whenever they want. He then bids the trio farewell and said that he loves them generally.
