Colorado is a character and one of the heroes from the Kantai Collection series who was implemented into the game on the 25th of May, 2019 as the E-5 reward of the Spring 2019 Event.
Alongside her sister ships USS Maryland, USS West Virginia, Nagato, Mutsu, Nelson and HMS Rodney, she is one of the Big Seven.
She is the Fleet Girl counterpart to the Abyssal Pacific Princess.
She is voiced by Asami Haruna and drawn by Parsley.
Biography
USS Colorado (BB-45) was a battleship of the United States Navy that was in service from 1923 to 1947. She was the lead ship of the Colorado class of battleships. Her keel was laid down on 29 May 1919, by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation. She was launched on 22 March 1921, and commissioned on 30 August 1923. She was armed with eight 16-inch (406 mm) guns and fourteen 5-inch (127 mm) deck guns; two 5-inch guns were removed in an overhaul.
After the war, Colorado participated in 'Operation Magic Carpet' to bring US troops back home. She was deactivated in 1947, and sold for scrap in 1959.
Appearance
She is depicted as a female humanoid with a petite yet well-endowed body, light blue eyes, fair skin and short blonde hair with two side braids. She wore gray elbow-length opera gloves covered by black gloves, black pantyhose, a blue necktie, a grey capelet with a blue inside, a sleeveless white shirt that exposes her armpits, a two-part gray pleated dress with blue accents and red high heels. On her head is her peculiar headgear that consists of a stylized gray USN sailor's garrison cap that features the various details of the top of her main tower and radar spires that are a reference to her real life ones.
Her basic form's equipment includes two 16inch Mk.I Twin Gun Mount, while her upgrade receives a 16inch Mk.V Twin Gun Mount and SG Radar (Initial Model). Her basic form's bonus equipment includes a 16inch Mk.I Twin Gun Mount, 16inch Mk.V Twin Gun Mount, 16inch Mk.VIII Twin Gun Mount Kai, GFCS Mk.37 and SG Radar (Initial Model). Her Kai form's bonus equipment includes a 5inch Twin Dual-purpose Gun Mount (Concentrated Deployment), GFCS Mk.37 + 5inch Twin Dual-purpose Gun Mount (Concentrated Deployment), 5inch Single High-angle Gun Mount Battery, 16inch Mk.I Twin Gun Mount, 16inch Mk.V Twin Gun Mount, 16inch Mk.VIII Twin Gun Mount Kai, GFCS Mk.37 and SG Radar (Initial Model).
Personality
Colorado is depicted as a bubbly young woman. She is also confident about being one of the Big Seven, being rather prideful about it. She is much of a tsundere towards the Admiral, especially when he gets 'too personal' with her. She states in her Kai form that she has a very strong desire to fight for everyone's sake.

- She is the shortest ship out of the Big Seven, being 624 feet and 3 inches, leading to her nickname by western fans being "Smolorado".
- Her voice actor, Asami Haruna, also voices Giuseppe Garibaldi.
