Commandant Teste is a character and one of the heroes from the Kantai Collection series who was implemented into the game on the 18th of November, 2016.
She is the Fleet Girl form of the Seaplane Tender Water Princess.
She is voiced by Tanibe Yumi and drawn by Akira.
Biography[]
Commandant Teste was a large seaplane tender of the French Navy (Marine Nationale) built before World War II. She was designed to be as large as possible without counting against the Washington Treaty limits. During the Spanish Civil War, she protected neutral merchant shipping and played a limited role during World War II as she spent the early part of the war in North African waters or acting as an aviation transport between France and North Africa. She was slightly damaged during the British bombardment of the French Fleet at Mers-el-Kébir in July 1940. Commandant Teste was scuttled at Toulon when the Germans invaded Vichy France in November 1942, but was refloated after the war and considered for conversion to an escort or training carrier. Neither proposal was accepted and she was sold for scrap in 1950.

Appearance[]
- Commandant Teste wears a large, white floppy beret with a red pom pom on top, a blue-white-and-red tartan scarf, white double-breasted jacket and belt over a navy blue dress, black socks, and white-and-red platform loafers. When damaged, it can be seen she wears white lace panties. Her long slightly wavy blonde hair is streaked with blue, white, and red, and is pulled into a ponytail. She has swept bangs held in place with a small anchor hair ornament.
- Her rigging is suspended off her back, consisting of a deck-like platform carrying a mast and several cranes. Two ship-hull like platforms come along either side of her bearing two aircraft catapults apiece. Small turrets dangle from chains off of her jacket.

- Her in-game lines focus upon her wanting to train with other seaplane carriers, especially Mizuho and Hyuuga.
- Teste speaks Japanese with an unusual accent, overly enunciating or pausing on certain words.

- She is named after Paul Teste, the first French naval aviator to land an aircraft on an aircraft carrier.
