Commander Shark

Commander Shark is the leader of Sazer-X team, who transforms into Shark-Sazer, in Chousei Kantai Sazer-X.

He is portrayed by Hiroshi Matsunaga.

History[]

Shark was born to a Space Pirate and a human who fell in love. He worked for the Neo-Descal as a researcher, but after finding himself stranded in 1960´s Earth while testing out a time wormhole for them, Shark met Sojiro Ando and changed his opinion on humanity after he helped Shark to return to his time. During that time, Shark met an orphaned little girl named Remy who suffered from a fatal illness and did not have much longer to live. As such, when Shark returned to the future he brought Remy with him and gave her to planet Roue, whose medical technology was able to cure her illness. Because she had been taken to the future at such a young age, Remy believed that she was an alien rather than a human and even thought that Shark was her biological father.

Shark later defected from the Neo Descal and formed Sazer-X as a resistance against them. He gathered aliens from all the planets threatened by Neo Descal to join the fight against their galactic conquest. Eventually, Shark selected several Sazer-X members for a mission to travel back in time and stop Descal's conquest of Earth. He sent Remy in the Lio Carrier, Ad in the Adle Eagle and Kane in the Beet Vizor to the past to save the future by saving the 2005 Earth from the attack of the Space Pirates. Shark also traveled to the past, but arrived later in the timeline and reunited with his teammates to help them fight against the Neo Descal when they traveled back in time.

Powers and Abilities[]

By equipping the Strage Device and calling out "Shark Knucle", Shark can transform into Shark-Sazer. His element is Water. His primary weapon is the Shark Bash, a sword than can be powered up with Cosmo Capsules. His personal capsule is "Shark-4" which he can equip in his sword to perform his hissatsu attack "Shark Flash", which creates a wave of water in the form of a shark.
