Commander Thorn is a supporting character in Season 6 episode "Crisis at the Heart" of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
He was a clone shock trooper commander who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars as a commander of the Coruscant Guard.
History[]
Like all clone troopers, Thorn was cloned from the genetic code of Jango Fett—the original source of the Grand Army of the Republic—on the planet Kamino. During the Clone Wars, he served the Galactic Republic as a clone shock trooper and held the military rank of Clone Commander in the Coruscant Guard's diplomatic service.
Commander Thorn was in charge of the Coruscant Guard detachment that escorted Senator Amidala to Scipio. With a financial crisis at hand, the Republic was sent to the planet to aid in the negotiations. However, Rush Clovis took control of the Banking Clan, and an attack on Scipio commenced. Thorn warned Amidala of the invasion as Droid Bombers descended on the landing platform. He ordered his men to evacuate, but they were too late. Their gunships and cruiser were destroyed. Outnumbered, Thorn and the rest of the survivors made their last stand. Thorn managed to survive the longest before being surrounded and killed.
Personality[]
When the Separatists invaded Scipio, he acted with haste in warning Padmé Amidala about the invasion. He fought alongside his troops as they did everything they could to impede the Separatist attack. Despite losing his men and being surrounded, he continued to fight by unleashing a torrent of blaster bolts on the battle droids and bashing them with his Z-6 rotary cannon before falling valiantly in service to the Republic.
Armor and Equipment[]
Thorn wore Phase II clone trooper armor. He had a visor along with an antenna on his helmet, which was painted red with a pair of red wings. His armor was also painted red to show his unit: the Coruscant Guard. He had a rank insignia on his chest plate to show his rank. He carried a Z-6 rotary cannon in battle, which he nicknamed "The Hammer". Also, Thorn's armor looked similar to that of Fox's armor
