The Free Pact Alliance (自由条約連合 Jiyū Jōyaku Rengō), or more formally known as The Confederate Treaty of Liberty Alliance, is a long standing alliance between Japan, North American countries, and European countries, formed to combat the Republic of Great Zogilia.

Overview

Not much is known about the Alliance nor how it operated; however, what is known is that Japan and nations of the Western Hemisphere allied with each other in order to combat the Zogilia threat, thus becoming known as the "Last Hope of the World".

Background

When the small Zogilian nation first discovered nectoribium, it utilized the resource to develop into a larger dictatorial nation. It would use nectoribium to advance its weapons, and it posed a threat to the rest of the world. As a result, Japan, North America, and a lot of Europe united to form the Free Pact Alliance.

History

During the Zogilian assault to capture the Alliance's new Valiancers the XV-7001 Luxon and XV-7002 Bradyon, the Alliance force find themselves at a disadvantage, until Aoba Watase lands into the cockpit of the Luxon after going through the time vortex. He was able to couple with the pilot of the Bradyon Dio Junyou Weinberg, and the two's combined strength drove away Bizon Gerafil, the leader of the assault team, and his forces.

After the battle, Aoba was taken under custody by Dio, due to being an unknown. Aoba tries to explain his background, but Dio does not believe him. Aoba meets with Lieutenant Commander Lene Kleinbeck, who sees that his items were from the past and then gives a very brief summary of the events leading up to now. After that, Aoba is kept under watch. Mayuka Nasu talks more about the history of the world up to now, but Aoba dozed off, much to her annoyance. Later, Mayuka shows Aoba the new Valiancers before Dio interrupts them and then argues with Aoba. Just then, the Cygnus goes into another battle, and Mayuka heads to her station. Aoba, not knowing where his room was, ended up staying in the hangar. Zogilian Lieutenant Colonel Aflried Gallant in his ZEH-N-131 Alsiel would lead a second assault on the Cygnus and attempt to capture the new Valiancers. The attack team was engaged by the Cygnus's Valiancer team, who pulled their tactics against the Cygnus's forces. Given the situation, Aoba was requested to sortie in the Luxon again, turning the tide of the battle on the Zogilian attackers a second time. The Cygnus crew monitored the Coupling process. However, the battle reached its peak when Aoba forcefully Decoupled from Dio and tried to establish contact with Hina, who was a Zogilian pilot and attacked Aoba, showing no sign of recognizing him. Lee Conrad then had to stop Bizon from heading to Aoba and then later sustained damage when protecting Aoba from Alfried's shot by the Alsiel's Nectar Rifle. Although both sides took casualties, the attackers were forced to retreat again.

After returning to the Cygnus, Dio was angry at Aoba for his move back there, but the injured Lee still thanked Aoba for saving them.
