"Cookie" Sidney Monster (born November 2, 1965) is a blue muppet monster and one of the three main protagonists of the Sesame Street franchise (along with Elmo and Big Bird). He is a blue monster with google eyes and loves to eat everything, especially cookies. Cookie Monster is the deuteragonist of the childrens Tv show Sesame Street and is also the deuteragonist of the Sesame Street franchise. At first, he was a wheel stealer, a green monster with sharp teeth who eats wheels snacks. They did the same thing for the coffee break machine in an IBM showing, until he was changed to good, blue fur, and having a craving for cookies (and any other foods as well). He is a supporting character in Sesame Street from 1969 to 1995 and the deuteragonist of Sesame Street from 1996 to the present day.
He was voiced by the formerly retired Frank Oz, the late Joe Raposo and currently by David Rudman. In the Japanese dub from the series, he was Kei Kikuchi and Tōru Ōkawa.
Personality[]
Cookie Monster has a lust and obsession/addiction to cookies to the point he'll eat every cookie he can get his hands on. He is often a bit selfish and refuses to share cookies, but he can be talked into sharing with his friends. His appetite isn't stuck to eating cookies, however. He has shown he can and often will eat anything and everything. He is usually greedy and gluttonous, but when convinced to share, he'll decide to give some of his cookies to others.

Trivia[]
- When it comes to voice acting Cookie Monster, he is the only Muppet to not be voiced by Eric Jacobson after Frank Oz's retiring of muppeteering, but is voiced by David Rudman instead.
- It is possible Cookie Monster's stomach is strong because he can and often does eat everything without getting a stomachache. However, his eating influences are frowned upon by parents.
- It is also possible that Cookie Monster's jaws are very strong because he can eat a lamppost as seen in Big Bird's Birthday or Let Me Eat Cake when he ate nearly the entire street.
- Even though there is basically nothing Cookie Monster won't eat, the exceptions are when Cookie Monster finishes eating the lamppost, he also attempts to eat the sign which, to him, tasted stale and he spat out both pieces of the sign and when he was asked by Elizabeth Blair of NPR in 2008 if there's anything he won't eat, he said he eats everything and there's nothing you can put in front of him that he won't eat. However, when presented with sardine ice cream, he said it could be sent to Oscar the Grouch. In 2011, Jacqueline Smith of The New Zealand Herald asked Cookie Monster if he would eat a huhu grub. He drew the line, then left. Cookie Monster loves Fruit and Vegetables most especially which He has been shown to eat more of when Someone teased Him on Sesame Street saying He shouldnt be called The Cookie Monster anymore and instead be called The Veggie Monster until Somebody that lived on Sesame Street said even though He does eat Cookies Everyday all The Time He should still be called The Cookie Monster because thats his Name and that He should always be treated with the equal amount of respect just like Everybody does.
