Biography[]
Corvus lived most of his life in the woods, with him usually having to sleep in the trees, until General Amaya allowed him to join her battalion, and she would start to see him as one of her closest friends, giving him a comfortable bed and a good room for him.
Corvus would later become a veteran soldier, and one of General Amaya's strongest and most well-trained soldiers, with him being so useful and loyal towards her that she trust him with many things, such as protecting her family if necessary. One day, Amaya sent Corvus to rescue her nephews Ezran and Callum from Rayla because Amaya believed she kidnapped.
After tracking Rayla down, the two have a fight, with him finding out during it that she lied about King Harrow's death, he told her that they would hate her for it, and told her that she killed Harrow, regardless if it wasn't her or her leader, Runnan. Rayla wins the fight and traps him in a pit, but he escapes from it sometime after she escaped.
Corvus is seen again saving Team Zym from Soren and Claudia by knocking Claudia out when she was trying to stop them from escaping by using Dark Magic to hold Phoe-Phoe from flying. He is then put in chackles and arrested by Soren and Claudia.
Soren and Claudia then go to a village where a dragon was flying above, while Soren tries to shoot the dragon, Claudia and Corvus tell him that it's risky and that he shouldn't do it, but he doesn't listen and shoots the dragon, causing it to put part of the city on fire, although he helps Soren and Claudia in stopping the dragon.
Corvus then escapes and meets with Ezran after Callum was knocked unconscious due to using Dark Magic, refusing to fight Rayla after understanding that she didn't do anything wrong to the princes. Corvus then tells Ezran that he's the king of Katolis.
Ezran is then shocked and sad after realizing that his father died and that he was lied about it for weeks, so he decided to leave and be alone to think about his situation, Corvus tries to stop him, but Ezran orders him to allow him to leave due to realizing that he was now king.
Corvus then tries to track Ezran down against his wishes, but soon realizes that Ezran's footprints were then replaced by a banther's, so he talks to Rayla about the idea that he might have been eaten by a banther, but she just laughs at that idea because she knows that Ezran can communicate with animals.
Corvus would then meet again with Ezran, who had calmed down and decided to go back to Katolis to fullfil his duties as a king. During the walk back to Katolis, Corvus helps Ezran in teaching Zym how to fly through telepathy, calling it weird due to this.
Corvus would then become Ezran's bodyguard during his brief time as king of Katolis before Viren took over, and helped in rescuing Ezran when he was imprisoned. He also later appears during the battle of the Storm Spire and helps in defeating Viren's soldiers, he is also seen happy when Zubeia awakes and finds out that her son is still alive.
Corvus would then train with Soren, with him failing to win against him in his tests most of the time, and the two would later talk about the view they had at the top of the castle in Katolis, and Soren gives him the chance to become a member of the Crownguard. While Corvus was initialy reluctant, he accepted Soren's offer as he wanted to do what Ezran thought was better for him, the Soren and Corvus then stare at the sunset togheter.
Corvus would also go to the council meeting where Ezran would tell the members of the council that Zubeia was coming to Katolis, and would also try to keep the party they were making for Callum a secret, as it was the latter's birthaday. When Callum believed that Ezran was in danger, he convinced him that he wasn't, and Callum, Soren, and Corvus would talk in Callum's room, where Corvus would ask about Aaravos' mirror, with Callum telling him that he found it in Viren's room and that he was trying to find out how it worked, with him saying that Amaya had given him a book that might help him find out how it worked. Callum would then find Ezran's room turning dark, causing Callum to go to see if Ezran was okay, only to find out they were making a birthday party for him all along.
Corvus would appear in the ceremony made for Zubeia's arrival to Katolis the next day, and after Ezran made a speech about the pain that was caused to them and the difficulty of the peace being maintained with the violence that keeps happening, Corvus played a song he wrote called "A Song of Love and Loss". After this, Corvus would stay in Katolis to take care of it while Ezran was gone.
After Team Zym's failed attempt to get the map from Rex Igneous, Corvus would join Ezran, Azymondias, and Soren in trying to get the Siren Stone from the Arcus Vault, which was inside of the Storm Spire. During this, Soren made a challenge with Corvus to see if he could walk down the stairs to the vault before Pyrrah could by flying down to the vault. In the end, Pyrrah won, but Corvus still told Soren that no one could beat him at workouts.
While searching for the Siren Stone, Soren found an armor and decided to wear, and while Corvus told him to take it off, Soren said that he would only do it if Corvus wore it too. After finding the stone, Soren and Corvus would grab it and go to meet Domina Profundis with Ezran and Zym. They would later meet with Domina Profundis, who told them about the archmage Akiyu, a tidebound elf who helped in crafting the prison.
Later, the group would save Callum, Rayla and Amaya from a group of corrupted banthers, with Corvus throwing himself into one of them so the group could escape. When it seemed like he and Amaya were going to die, however, they hid in the bookdrop of the Bookery of Lux Aurea to protect themselves from the banthers, which worked. Two days later, they find out that Janai was kidnapped by the Bloodmoon Huntress Kim'dael.
Corvus would help in searching the sunfire camp to find anything that could track Kim'dael, but was unable to find anything. While Amaya was able to make a plan that resulted in Janai being saved, Corvus would sadly inform them that the Sun Seed was stolen and Janai was betrayed by Miyana, who had sided with Karim. A few days later, Soren went to the camp to see Corvus and ask for his help in tracking Zubeia, who had been missing.
They then went to the Storm Spire, where Corvus sees some of Zubeia's blood and finds out that the injuries she received from a corrupted banther infected her body. They were then able to find out where Zubeia crashed while she was flying, and went to investigate there. After spending a day and finding nothing, they decide to rest for the night. The moment they woke up, they find many mushrooms around them, with one of them coming to life and begining to run away.
Corvus and Soren went after it, and end up in the Fungi Lane, a place where live many sentient mushrooms. They are put to sleep by spores released by the Mushroom Mage Mukho, but after they wake up, Mukho has already understood they were friendly and decides to give them hats to show the other mushrooms that they are not hostile, and thus avoiding trouble from a giant sentient mushroom which serves as the lane's guard.
Mukho then brings them to the tree where he put Zubeia so she could rest and heal her wounds, with Mukho giving a mush-mallow to Zym so he could shrink his size, get into the tree, and see his mother. While that was happening, Soren expresses worry for Zym since his mother is the only family he's got. This leads to Corvus saying that he isn't right, as he has Soren, someone who is good-hearted, which leads to Soren hugging Corvus.
After Zym talks with his mother, Corvus calls Pyrrah so they could leave and return to Katolis, but not before Soren took one of the mush-mallows and joked about being "Hat's hat". At the castle, Corvus finds the rest of the council silent, and realizing that something bad had happened, he closed the door to the council room to make sure no one would hear what the council was going to discuss. After this, Ezran reveals to Soren the reason they were acting the way they did, his father Viren had been found in the castle's gates and was imprisoned in its dungeon.
Sometime later, due to Soren deciding that he wanted to deal with Viren by himself, he told Ezran to go to Amaya and Janai's wedding while saying he would take care of Viren, which Ezran does, and Corvus goes with him. At the wedding, Corvus would play a violin for the wedding. During Gren's doing of the wedding vows, a soldier appeared and revealed Karim was outside of the camp with an army, presumably preparing to attack. Ezran, however, was able to convince Janai into allowing him to go talk to Karim so he could talk him out of his plans to attack the camp, with Corvus and Aanya going along with Ezran to protect him.
Ezran and Corvus would go talk with Karim inside his tent. There, Karim tells Ezran that he will call off his attack if his terms are met, those being that Janai would surrender her title as queen of the Sunfire Elves and give the title of ruler to him, and that humans would leave Xadia and return to the other side of the border. Ezran tries to convince him to not go with his demands as there have been too many bonds between humans and elves over the last two years for it simply to end due to Karim's wishes, and tells him violence isn't the best option neither.
Ezran then offers Karim to choose love for others, such as his sister Janai, instead of choosing violence. Karim, however, reveals his plan to kill Janai and her army with the help of Sol Regem, saying that Janai should have had honored Sol Regem and uphold his principles of Xadian supremacy over choosing to help humans. Realizing this, Corvus and Ezran try to warn Janai before they attack, but Karim ends up capturing them.
After Zym is able to free them, Corvus fight off one of Karim's soldiers so Ezran can escape and warn Janai, ending up recaptured as a result. Karim's army ends up defeated due to Sol Regem ending up not appearing and instead going to attack the castle of Katolis, with Corvus being presumably freed after the battle was over.
Personality[]
Corvus is a determined soldier set on accomplishing his missions, and is nothing but loyal to Amaya and later Ezran, helping them in their goals and overall being friendly towards them. Corvus is also shown to be a bit paranoid, as he quickly went after Ezran left to protect him and assumed he had been eaten by a banther with barely any proof. Despite this, he's a kind and loyal soldier no matter what.
His loyalty is shown at its highest by his willingness to give his life for those he cares about, such as throwing himself to a corrupted banther to save Zubeia and helping Ezran escape from Karim despite doing so making him unable to escape himself. Corvus also expresses annoyance towards some of the ways Soren's acts and can be sarcastic around him. However, he does truly care for him and they are close, with Corvus saying that Soren is a good-hearted person and assured him that even without his mother, Zym would still have Soren to look after him.
