The Counselor is a supporting character in Roblox critically acclaimed 2019 indie horror game Circus Trip [STORY]. He is the camp counselor of the protagonists and the Kid, who lead them on a camping trip gone far wrong than expected.
History[]
Circus Trip[]
During the trip, the counselor host all the campers together as they tell each other spooky stories. The counselor speak off a terrifying tale cornering a cown, which scares the Kid. During this time, he heard a sound by the bus, leading to him going out to check it. When he return, he found everyone being frantic and scared, to which he brushed off their story about a monster after them.
When he discover the camp is ruined, he lead all the campers to seek shelter inside a circus. On their way, they are attacked by wolfs and meet ranger Brooks, who the counselor shares a humourous encounter with. Despite being stratched and intially being teaseful to the kids earlier on, the counselor become much more serious in their path to the circus.
Arriving at the circus, the counselor witnessed the kids participating in questionable events as he become concerned. This leads to him choosing to leave with the kids from the circus.
Death[]
Upon getting outside, the counselor tell the kids that its time to leave. However, Giggles suddenly appeared, painfully holding his head, dismembering each of his body parts in front of the kids before kidnapping them back inside the circus. The counselor died a painful death aftermath, with his funeral being held soon after the incident.

Trivia[]
- Putting a spin on the usual "Guide NPC" tropes in Story games, the Counselor started off unsympathetic and somewhat of a jerk. However, he begins to show notable honorable characters trait by being concerned for the player's well-being, and genuinely wanted them to be safe until his death.
- He is the false deutaragonist of the game, with the Kid being the true deutaragonist of the game.
