Covens Against the Throne (CATs), formerly known as Bards Against the Throne (BATTs), was a resistance group that plotted to overthrow Emperor Belos and stop the Day of Unity. They are also the main enemies of Emperor's Coven.
Appearance[]
Unlike its predecessor organization, the CATs are not limited to one type of magic, with three of its members being Head Witches of other covens, two Emperor's Coven defectors, three BAT members, and the inhabitants of the Owl House. As of "O Titan, Where Art Thou", the CATs lack any special uniform.
Biography[]
When the Bards Against the Throne were captured, Darius secretly saved Raine. After their capture, they formed a new band with the original members and Eberwolf.
They tried to get into the mind of Belos, but this plan was thwarted by Hunter. Later they were forced to come to Owl House and give Eda the necessary supplies to get Hunter and Luz out of Belos' mind.
When Eda and Luz were captured, CATs. intercepted a cart with prisoners and managed to take Lilith, Steve, Hooty and King.
The group then travels to the head, where their plan to stop the Day Unity begins. Eda takes Raine's place as the Coven's Bard so that she can spoil the magic of the exhausting spell with her spell. She also receives the sigil of the Bard Coven and the hiding Stone to disguise herself as Raine. However, Belos had found out about their plan, Hooty, Lilith, Derwin, and Katya were captured and Raine was brought to the Coven Heads to complete the draining spell. After the Collector stop the Draining the Spells, the C.A.T.S. were turn into puppets by the Collector and his spies.
After Belos was finally destroyed, the Collector turn C.A.T.S. back to normal and located the remaining Coven Scouts and convince them to help rebuilt the Isles and put behind the Coven System. The remaining scouts agree with C.A.T.S. and help them rebuilt the isles.
