Donna Jo Tanner (also known as D.J. Tanner, Deej (by her family and Kimmy), and on Fuller House her name is D.J. Tanner-Fuller) is one of the main characters of the long-running sitcom Full House and its spinoff Fuller House. She is the older daughter of Pam and Danny Tanner. She handles many tough situations with general ease. D.J. has a charm bracelet that Pam gave her when she and Danny brought Michelle home from the hospital. Her best friend is her next-door neighbor Kimmy Gibbler. Stephanie gets on D.J.'s nerves quite often with her snooping.
In season eight, D.J. gets accepted to University of California, Berkeley and it is implied she went to college there after graduating high school.
In Fuller House, she is a widowed mother of three sons, Jackson, Max, and Tommy Jr.
She is portrayed by Candace Cameron Bure.
Her parents wanted to name her "Farrah" (after the actress, Farrah Fawcett), but Joey saved her and stopped them, claiming, "Hey, we can't name her after a hairstyle".
In "Rock the Cradle": D.J. had an imaginary friend named "Norton the Duck", when she was younger.
