Season 1

Sweet Justice

The Group was first formed in the series premiere "Sweet Justice" when during lunch, Babs started the food fight by throwing it at Kara Danvers, causing her to think that it was Karen who did it first, which caused everyone to food at everyone, until the principal asks the students on who started it, (unaware that Babs was the first started) causing all the 5 girls into staying in detention, where Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) then was sent in detention with them (due to cutting class early). Kara then thinks that Wonder Woman is just a cosplay, believing she is not her, causing both the two to start a fight. Then it later turns out that Barbara's plan to get their attention works when she sees the powers of all the 5 girls and knows that they were superheroes much to Diana's surprise when she becomes impressed that she has found Barbara as a "sister in arms". However, the other 4 girls are not interested in being superheroes when Barbara makes a deal. Diana can train her and the others to become superheroes while they get to teach Diana the lessons of how being a normal teenager. After a while, the girls then agree with Babs that the lesson begins afterward.

The training finally begins, in the junkyard, where Diana teaches the girls how to save "men" from danger, even though there are only female mannequins. During a training montage, the girls all train to save the mannequins, but they all fail. Meanwhile, Diana still doesn't understand how to become a normal teenager after she goes to the comic store, a spa, and a movie theatre. However, the girls go to a carnival at a pier, and they all have fun. Elsewhere at Lex-Corp, someone has activated the robots to demolish places such as the comic store, a spa, and a movie theatre.

The girls went to one last place called Sweet Justice (owned by Barry Allen), Diana tried to eat ice cream, and she suddenly liked it so much that she started eating the other desserts from the other girls. But the robots break in and give the civilians an evil notice before they start demolishing Sweet Justice. At first, the girls hesitate due to the law, but when a robot heads to the innocent civilians, Wonder Woman destroys one of the robots and the superhero girls begin fighting the other robots to save Sweet Justice.

However, their teamwork doesn't last long, and their recklessness accidentally causes the collapse of Sweet Justice. While the girls argue about their failures, Batgirl figures out that the robots and the virtual reality specs were all made by Lex Luthor.

Unfortunately, the girls do not believe that it was Lex who caused the destruction, and in the process, Karen, Zatara, Jessica, and Kara quit being superheroes and go their separate ways. Later, Diana gets caught by her mother, Queen Hippolyta of Themyscira, who explains to Babs that Diana lied to her by escaping her home and disobeying her mother, causing her mother to drag Diana by her ear to an Amazon ship back to Themyscira.

After going back home, Barbara becomes hopelessly sad, even after receiving a call from her best friend in Gotham City, noticing that both Barbara and Harleen miss each other. However, Barbara does not give up as she contacts the other girls to convince them to save Diana from being taken back to Themyscira, knowing that Diana was the one reason she made them not only superheroes but friends as well.

The girls then sneak onto the Amazon ship to free Diana, but they are all then caught by the amazons and begin to fight them while apologizing and convincing Diana to come back with them, Supergirl says Wonder Woman is the true greatest hero, and it warmed Diana's heart. Diana stands up to her mother, telling her that she passed the test and its law.

Her mother accepts it, and Diana leaves the ship with her friends squealing as they head to the carnival at the pier. However, they see the robots from Lex-Corp about to demolish the carnival. Suddenly, a giant war suit showed up, with a voice being heard, and Batgirl said that she knew it was Lex all along. However, it reveals that it isn't Lex piloting the war suit, it was Lena Luthor (Lex's little sister) who hated teenagers so much, (especially her brother Lex), that she came up with an evil plan where she reprogrammed his virtual reality specs and commanded the demolition robots to destroy every single fun place in Metropolis, with all the teenagers distracted by a sneezing puppy while wearing the VR specs on them, Lena and all of the children would then rule Metropolis, which Supergirl thinks Lena's plan is dumb.

Realizing that they must shut down Lena's war suit from the inside, Zatanna, Wonder Woman, and Supergirl distract Lena, while Bumblebee goes inside Lena's war suit to connect the cable directly to the motherboard. Green Lantern helps Batgirl get closer into Lena's war suit so that Batgirl can connect the other end of the cable to an amp. But Lena breaks free and flies up to destroy the pier. However, Supergirl starts playing the guitar, and the sound is so loud it goes straight through the amp and conducts electricity through the cable and Bumblebee as she uses her gadget arm to connect to the motherboard since the cable did not reach it. Lena's war suit finally shuts down, as well as the other robots and her reprogrammed VR specs, freeing all the rest of the teenagers. The girls congratulate Bumblebee on her courage, with a crowd of spectators gathering around the girls and cheering for them. Three months later, Sweet Justice reopened, and the girls started celebrating with their desserts. However, Barbara showed her friends something new below their table which is the new secret base made especially for them.

Mayhem in the Multiverse

The Girls are having a showdown against Catwoman and the Super Villain Girls on top of the train as the battle begins. Supergirl grabbed Catwoman first and Wonder Woman uses her gauntlets to dodge Star Sapphire's blast. Then Zatanna faced off against Giganta until Harley Quinn came out of nowhere smacking her with her Mallet, sending her off the train. Batgirl came in to stop her until they exchanged words. Meanwhile, Green Lantern rescues Zatanna with her ring, only to realize her dark magic is almost unleashed. Afterward, the Villain Girls escaped when a portal opened from nowhere as the Hero Girls watched them leave.

Appearance

They appeared as a Superhero and a student. In "#SweetJustice", they started becoming superheroes and first time saving the day from the Villains.

• The Super Hero Girls can be compared to that of the Mane Six from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as they both have similar personalities, with Wonder Woman being similar to Twilight Sparkle, Supergirl being similar to Rainbow Dash, Zatanna being similar to Rarity, Green Lantern being similar to Applejack, Bumblebee being similar to Fluttershy and Batgirl being similar to Pinkie Pie.
  • Ironically, both My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and DC Super Hero Girls were made by Lauren Faust while Batgirl was voiced by Tara Strong, who also played Twilight Sparkle.
