DJ Pon-3 is a minor character from the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls franchise. She is a student at Canterlot High School and a DJ. She also served as a temporary member of the Rainbooms, a student band made of the series' protagonists.
DJ Pon-3 is a young teenage girl who loves the DJ style of music which most of her appearance resembles it. She has DJ sunglasses that lenses shaded as purple to pink with black frames. When without her glasses, her eyes are Moderate Cerise. Her hair is short, colored with dark blue and cyan stripes, and has sharp long bangs that are swiped to the right. She wears a short-sleeved, white jacket with a gray zipper, blue accents and cyan collar, a white skirt with her pony counterpart's cutie mark, purple arm warmers, dark purple pants with purple accents in it, and blue-purple shoes with white straps and cyan accents.
Personality
Majority of DJ's personality and characteristics are unknown since she serves as a muted minor character for the overall franchise. Still, is a music lover and was shown to be very helpful towards others, especially to the Rainbooms since she helped them defeat the Dazzlings. She is also shown to be a good friend to Pinkie and Fluttershy, and also helped the latter to overcome her stage fright on several occasions.
Trivia
DJ Pon-3 and her pony counterpart of the same name are better known in the fanbase as "Vinyl Scratch".
DJ Pon-3 never speaks in the franchise and she was never given a voice actor to make any noises and grunts.
She never takes off her headphones (Excluding the short called ’’Music to my ears’’ where Principal Celestia takes away her headphones)
DJ Pon-3 is one of the few characters who always wears eye protection over her eyes consistently which covers her eyes, alongside Photo Finish.
Only her human counterpart counts as a hero, as her Equestrian counterpart is considered a neutral character, making her one of the few background ponies whose human counterpart is listed on the heroes wiki page.
Much like her Equestrian counterpart, she appears to have a good and possibly close friendship with Pinkie Pie and Octavia.
In this version, she is also shown to have a bond with Fluttershy, as seen in some official media, and Trixie.
