Millennia ago, when i battled with my kin, i chose to arm myself with mankind's emotion.

Their emotial core generates ether energy -- the most powerful force in existence.
I made use of this in the previous battle to vanquish my opposents with ease.
My victory secured, i made this world more hospitable to man, hoping their larger numbers would grant me strength.

~ Daath explaining how he became the overseer of the world.

Daath is the secondary antagonist of the JRPG Blue Reflection. Daath is a Sephirot who once fighted against it's peers and won. As a result they became the overseer of the world. Daath then vowed to protect humanity and to make their life more hospitable. Eventually, after seeing that humans could not survive at they were, Daath decided to merge them into one being in hope to perserve humanity from extinction.

Biography[]

Background[]

1 millions years before the events of Blue Reflection, Daath fought against the other Sephirot and won using human feelings as source of it's power. Daath then became the overseer of the world and made the world more hospitable for humans in hope to preserve their feelings and use their powers if an other Sephira came to appear.

Blue Reflection[]

After the Sephirot are defeated by Hinako and her team, Daath appears before them and explains how they battled the other Sephirot and won one million years ago. Daath also reveals that they thinks humans emotions at the moment, are too weak and as a result, they could lose if an other Sephira came to appear. In order to solve this problem Daath plans to merge all humanity into one being. Daath tries to convince Hinako that she would not feel alone if this plan succeed. But despite Hinako admiting the human's flaws and that Daath's plan could let her be with Yuzu and Lime (who would dissapear after the Sephirot's defeat) she refuses to follow it.

However, knowing that if Daath dies, an other Sephira could appear and potentially kill all of humanity, Hinako decides to repel it instead. Daath then fights her and her team. When Daath loses, they dissapears but not before saying that they will not forget them and hope to see them again. Daath also grants Hinako the wish to keep her memories of Yuzu and Lime.

Blue Reflection : Second Light[]

Despite not appearing in the game, Daath is mentionned many times, especially by Hinako who feels sometimes guilty due to it's defeat leading the world to have no overseer and the World System releasing the Ash as consequence, killing everyone on Earth. However the others would reassure Hinako telling her that considering what the Daath tried to do, she did the right choice back then.

Trivia[]

  • Despite Daath still being alive at the end of Blue Reflection, it's told in the sequel that there was no overseer anymore and thus leading the World System to unleash the Ash. This gives the idea that something possibly happened to Daath that could lead them to not be an overseer anymore.
