Daisy the Diesel Railcar is a recurring character from the Thomas & Friends franchise. She is a stubborn Diesel Engine who only wants to take passengers and not pull her own wait in taking rolling stock with her.
Portrayals[]
- In her Debut appearance she is voiced by Ringo Starr in the UK Dub and In the US dub by the late George Carlin.
- In Season 4 she was voiced in the UK Dub by the late Michael Angelis.
- She would later be voiced in the CGI Series by Teresa Gallagher as well as Tracy-Ann Oberman.
Appearance[]
Daisy is based on the British Rail Class 101 Diesel Engine. She has a light green livery with yellow strips with a red buffer beam and white buffers. While In the Railway series her face was green to match her livery, in the Show her face was grey to match the other locomotive characters. She has blue eye shadow and red cheeks. In the CGI series she has a smaller face.
Personality[]
Daisy is characterized as stubborn and hard to please as well as over confidant and arrogant. In her first episode she is shown to throw a fit because she doesn't want to pull a milk tanker Saying that it's bad for her swerves. In the Season four Episode Bulls Eyes she thinks she can scare away the Bull named Champion only to ran off when he gets too close. She also can't stand being called feeble. All of that said she does later appear to have a softer side.

- She is the first female Engine introduced in the TV Series.
- Out of the Four Faces that she used in the model series three of them were reused from BoCo.
- She is the first Diesel Character introduced in the series.
- In real life a Diesel Railcar called 101685 was named after her.
- Her theme music in the season 2 and 4 was infamously inspired by The Stripper.
