Supervisory Special Agent Dan Erickson is a fictional character from the Saw franchise as well as a supporting protagonist in Saw V and VI. He was portrayed by Mark Rolston.

Biography[]

Involvement In Jigsaw Case[]

Erickson was an FBI agent who shortly after the events of Saws III and IV was appointed to overlook the Jigsaw case. He relieved Peter Strahm of duty following his narrow escape from a Jigsaw trap and grew increasingly wary of him as Strahm became obsessed with Jigsaw. Aftermath, Dan was informed by Strahm that he himself believed that there is more than just one accomplice of Jigsaw, which raise his suspection. He put a detect device to Strahm phone, which leads to the two survivors laying on the ground, saying that they have won the game. He later calls for paramedic, and discuss himself further into the case.

Finding The Accomplice And Death[]

Erickson returned alongside Lindsey Perez, who thought to be dead but was faked, as Dan gives it as a move to protect her from the other accomplice. As the movie progress, Dan raises his suspision toward Hoffman, as he becoming more panicking over their discoveries. After recovering a distored tape of Seth Baxter, Dan says that it's the key to they very victory, begin with him and his crew starting to virobrite down the tape and revealing the audio to be his trusted friend, Hoffman. In a moment of distraction, Dan neck was slain by Hoffman, who later burns him down with a galon of gas.

Personality[]

Dan Erickson was a responsible FBI agent, always following the official instructions. Even though he mostly worked in his office, he was also experienced in the field work. As a supervisory special agent, he did everything he could to insure the safety of his subordinates in order to protect them from danger and occasionally from themselves. Most of the time, Erickson acted in a calm, polite and helpful way when speaking to others. However, despite his general sense of responsibility, he was also reckless at times, as seen when he put Hoffman under pressure in the lab, despite being suspicious of him being the Jigsaw killer, which subsequently led to his own death.
