When Plagg inhabited the Cat Miraculous, he transformed into a cat-themed superhero.
Appearance[]
As seen in the portrait, Grimalkin is a young man with black hair, sideburns and a stubble beard. He wears dark gray chain mail armor which is covered by a long black tunic. On the tunic, which is on his torso, he has a long bright green cat's paw, with black boots and gloves. He also wears a removable black helmet with triangular protrusions resembling cat ears.
Personality[]
As described by Jeanne d'Arc, Grimalkin was a brave and noble warrior who fought honorably for his country. Although he was initially against Jeanne, he greatly admired her dedication to protecting innocent people, which is why he fell in love with them and she with him. When they realized they had been manipulated by their respective monarchs into fighting against each other, they began to have a secret relationship, even though they knew this would be considered a betrayal. They even abdicated their Miraculous to be together.

Trivia[]
- The name "Grimalkin" is an archaic term for "cat". It stems from "grey" (the colour) plus "malkin", an archaic term with several meanings (a low class woman, a weakling, a mop, or a name). Scottish legend makes reference to the grimalkin as a faery cat that dwells in the highlands.
- Chronologically, he is the first Cat Miraculous holder to have a confirmed interaction with a Ladybug Miraculous holder (Jeanne d'Arc), as well as having a romantic relationship with her.
- He and Jeanne d'Arc are also the first known Miraculous holders ever to have been at opposite sides of a conflict.
