Dash Bowman is a character from Star Fox: Command, who is the grandson of Andross as well the cousin of Andrew Oikonny but unlike the two, Dash is friendly and ally to Star Fox and looks up to Fox and Falco the most, as they are the most experienced pilots in the team. He pilots the Monkey Arrow.

Personality and Traits[]

Dash is very professional and cordial pilot who thought well of Fox and Falco and longed to be part of the Star Fox Team, which is evident that his ship, the Monkey Arrow resembles the Star Fox Arwing. Despite being relatively young, Dash is skilled in the art of piloting aircraft. As the grandson of Andross, he held much respect and his original good intentions before his fall to the life of villainy, and acknowledges the fact that he was killed by the efforts of Star Fox, but in spite of this, Dash harbored no ill will towards Fox and his team and continued to look up to them. However, his youth and relationship to Andross and Andrew made him the subject of ridicule, especially with Falco rejecting him in a condescending manner.

Biography[]

Dash makes an appearance by helping Fox, whose team has disbanded for different reasons, defend Corneria from the Anglar Forces and they succeed in defeating the Anglars. Dash then takes his leave to help out the Cornerian Defense Force soldiers. This would lead Fox to take different paths that lead to different endings and depending on whether Dash is encountered again or not that affects Dash's own situation that leads to outcomes of his own; he would either continue his grandfather's legacy by becoming a corrupt leader, with strong tensions between Venom and Corneria that would lead to war, join Falco's team alongside Katt Monroe, or convert Venom into a peaceful planet and makes himself the benevolent leader of the planet. Due to the multiple endings that Star Fox: Command has, they are highly likely to be non-canon.

Dash appears as one of the collectible Spirits. In his case he is the primary neutral spirit with a Novice ranking; he is represented as Diddy Kong, with Fox acting as one of his partners.

Trivia[]

While Dash and Andrew are cousins, they don't seem to have any form of interaction with one another in any of the paths at all, or if it is known if they had any form of familial relationship at all.
As some of Star Fox 2's content have been brought over to Star Fox: Command, Dash's design resembles Algy.
Dash is the first (and only for now) character related to Andross to be fully friendly towards Fox McCloud and his friends. He’s also one of the few monkeys to be friendly towards Fox and his friends, the other being Diddy Kong. Coincidentally, Diddy represents Dash in his spirit battle in Smash Bros Ultimate and the first of Fox’s friends the two meet is Falco Lombardi.
