DeMille is the main protagonist of the video game Tomato Adventure.
He is an 8-year-old Dropper that is forced to live in the Spillage in the Ketchup Kingdom due to his dislike of tomatoes, which is where other Droppers are forced to live until they change their attitude towards the food. He lives in a bus without any wheels, and uses gimmicks in-battle, two of which were given by Selemo.
Appearance[]
DeMille is a cream-colored young boy who has completely blue eyes, and wears a blue hat with two extensions that resemble Cobi. His eyes match the color of his blue t-shirt and shorts, as well as his large blue-white shoes. He has a white puff ball on the front of his shirt, as well as one on the back of his shorts that resembles a hare's tail.
Personality[]
DeMille is an optimistic and carefree kid that is easily fooled and has a one-track mind. He is shown to be brave and does not fear the monsters, which is notable when he and Pasaran enter the Pokypine Wood. He is also shown to care about Pasaran and his friends, which is notable when he enters the Gimmick Palace and promises that he'll rescue Pasaran from King Abira's hands.
Biography[]
One day in the Ketchup Kingdom, King Abira announces a new invention called the Super Caracooker, a ray gun that can transform anything and anyone into playthings such as toys and playgrounds (despite being stated as an ability for the residents of the kingdom to remain as children). DeMille watches this on his TV but it breaks and explodes, causing him to visit Selemo and ask if he could fix it. He is eventually given his first gimmick; the Gear-Yo, and is taught by Selemo how to use it. After this, DeMille's girlfriend, Pasaran, wants him to go with her to the Pokypine Wood to find her missing toy - the Gimmick Robo. Despite it being the Tomatoversary, which could allow the Droppers to leave the Spillage, a guard does not allow them to do so, unless they defeat him, which DeMille does, allowing him and Pasaran to go to the Pokypine Wood to find the missing toy.
However, once DeMille and Pasaran get there, the toy is nowhere to be found. Eventually, two henchmen of King Abira named Brikky and Grikky capture Pasaran so that he can use her Heart Energy to power up the Super Caracooker. DeMille battles the henchmen, and despite winning, they eventually make him fall into the Tomato Pond near the Gimmick Palace.
When DeMille attempts to enter the palace, a door blocks him and unallows him to do so. However, a mole named Relek pops from the floor and tells DeMille that in order to open the door, he must defeat the six Super Kids and use their toy parts in order to open the door and allow him to enter the Gimmick Palace. After that, DeMille decides to go on an adventure in order to defeat the Super Kids, stop King Abira and save the Ketchup Kingdom. On his journey, he meets Alesa, Sofubi, and eventually Relek.
Trivia[]
- It is often speculated what species DeMille is, considering that he always wears a hat which, along with the puff ball on his shorts, could suggests that he's a hare-like creature. However, in 2018, AlphaDream's website showed one artwork with him, showing his hat falling off, revealing that he has cat ears underneath it, strongly suggesting that he might be a cat-like creature.
