Principal Cadance is a supporting character in the Equestria Girls franchise. She's the human counterpart of Princess Cadance.
Like her pony counterpart, she is voiced by Britt McKillip, who also voiced Harumi from Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Baby Lola from Baby Looney Tunes, Sabrina Spellman from Sabrina's Secret Life, Peppermint Girl in Barbie in the Nutcracker, Princess Melody in Barbie as Rapunzel, Princess Janessa in Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses, and Princess Rita in Barbie as The Island Princess.
Like her pony counterpart, she is very kind, caring, and helpful towards others, unlike the abusive Principal Cinch. Despite them being at rival schools, she appears to be in good terms with Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna. She also sympathizes and concerned with Sci-Twi when she was mistreated as an outcast by Crystal Prep students and as she offered her to give friendship try.

She has long moderate violet hair with moderate rose and pale gold streaks on her hair, pale and light grayish cerise skin, light cerise eyebrows, brilliant arctic blue eyeshadow, light purple eyes, and light fuchsia lips. She also wore light brilliant amber necklace, long-sleeved moderate azure coat with moderate arctic blue collar, beige-colored button, and a diamond heart on her left chest, pale cyan shirt, moderate cyan skirt, and brilliant amber heels.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games[]
Dean Cadance appears in My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games at Crystal Prep Academy.
She first appeared when informed to Sci-Twi that Principal Cinch wanted to see her. Aware of Sci-Twi's interest of Everton, she assured her to give friendship try. As Sci-Twi entering Cinch's office, she was surprised to see Cadance and her brother Shining Armor. She, along with Principal Cinch, are welcomed to Canterlot High School by Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna. Throughout the games, she and the other principals are hosting the event. During the final challenge, she witnessed Sci-Twi transformed into Midnight Sparkle. After Sci-Twi returned back to normal, she and the other stands up to Principal Cinch for her actions. In the end, she offered Sci-Twi to transfer to Canterlot High before takes up this request to Celestia.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Dance Magic[]
She is mentioned by Shadowbolts that she replaced Principal Cinch as the new principal of Crystal Prep High.
Trivia[]
In the film's screenplay novelization, Cadance says that Celestia has been "like an aunt" to her.
