Slade Joseph Wilson, alias Deathstroke, is a mercenary who was a supporting character in the 2013 fighting video game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Unlike his prime counterpart, Deathstroke is revealed to be an agent of the Insurgency and work with an alternative Lex Luthor. He is proficient in hand-to-hand combat and weaponry. He also has superhuman strength, superhuman speed, enhanced intellect, accelerated healing factor & a greatly-long lifespan.
He was voiced by J.G. Hertzler, who famously portrayed Martok in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Biography[]
He was a mercenary who fought against the Titans in the alternate reality until Joker made Superman killed Lois Lane and their unborn child in a drug-induced hallucination to make him think Lois was Doomsday. Deathstroke eventually retired in his villainy and was never heard from again.
During Year Five in a last attempt to end the Regime, Batman visited Slade who was on a vacation on Bali, Indonesia, asking his offer to get the Mother Box, Slade was intrigued by the offer and accepted it. Infiltrating the Regime's Armory and taking down the numerous guards, he then encountered Metamorpho. After realizing that he was no match for the elemental hero, Slade then managed to defeat him with a misfired bullet from earlier. As a failsafe, he sent a blueprint of the Mother Box to Batman and Lex Luthor before more guards arrived to subdue him. He then disposed each of them until Raven and Cyborg arrived and defeated him.
Slade was being tortured by Raven and Cyborg that was indigenous to that universe into either joining Superman's Regime thus allowing him amnesty or die. He was rescued by the Prime Universe's Hal Jordan.
He would then officially join Batman's Insurgency because The Regime made it personal by torturing him. He would help them fight the Regime and rescue the Prime Universe's Batman. His actions allowed The Insurgency to eventually take back their world from a Tyrannical Superman, and his enforcers and allies were arrested.
