Denizen 1998, called also New Yoke City Big the Cat, is a supporting character in the Netflix television series Sonic Prime, based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is an alternate version of Big the Cat from the world of New Yoke City.
He is voiced by Ian Hanlin; who also played Sunburst in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Lazlo in Barbie: Spy Squad, and Lance Richmond in Nexo Knigths. In Japanese version, he is played by Takashi Nagasako.
Appearance[]
He looks a lot like Big the Cat, but has a few differences, extra tufts of fur on his ears and cheeks. He has an orange patrol cap on his head. He's wearing a tan ringer shirt with orange highlights on the collar and pocket, and a pair of brown overalls with a broken left strap, with an orange cloth tied around his waist.
Personality[]
He is very peaceful and quiet, at first, he wanted to stay away from everything, feeling uncomfortable when Sonic hugged him mistaking him for Big the Cat. However, when he is not undercover, Denizen 1998 helps everyone kindly. After joining the Resistance, he began to openly oppose the Chaos Council and their machines. Just like Big, Denizen 1998 enjoys fishing and takes care of his Froggy.

Past[]
Denizen 1998 lived a peaceful life in Green Hill until it was invaded and destroyed by Eggforcers. The remains were paved over by the Chaos Council, transforming the forest into a totalitarian cityscape under their rule.
Season one When he first entered New Yoke City, Sonic the Hedgehog initially mistook Denizen 1998 for Big the Cat. After Sonic inadvertently alerted patrolling Eggforcers, Denizen 1998 quickly fled. Soon after, a Security Drone interrogated Denizen 1998 about the incident before the city was struck by a sudden power outage. Due to the machines not working anymore, Denizen started to hit them, realizing he enjoyed it. One day while fishing, he spotted Rebel Rouge and Renegade Knucks being thrown out of the city's capital and carried them to safety, joining the Resistance in their fight against the Chaos Council. During the big battle in the city streets, Denizen helped the Resistance shooting robots with a gun.
Season two Now as a part of the Resistance, he accompanies Sonic, Rebel and Knucks in their mission. He shows he knows how to fight, doing so with his body and using guns.
