Denji is the Main Protagonist of Chainsaw Man.
History
Denji and his father are two peoples that are put into an enormous debt by a mafia-boss. His father later passed away due to hard-working in finding the money, and thus, he left Denji alone with no words or notes of saying goodbye or taking care. The mafia-boss warned Denji that he must collect the debt or end up with the same faith as his father.
Denji eventually, finds Pochita aka the original Chainsaw Devil, and bonds together as friends. As the young-boy also convinced his boss to keep Pochita since the dog might be a valuable asset in finding money. His boss accepts, and Denji starts his job as a devil hunter with no license. Only to be betrayed by his boss after a few months of running his business. His "old-gramps" mafia-boss sacrificed him to the Zombie Devil in exchange for it lending them its powers, and it was a foolish decision since the Zombie Devil cannot grant them anything except turning them into mindless zombies.
Denji, and Pochita was shredded by the minions of the Zombie Devil, and they end up making a pact, in which the two fused together and becomes a Devilman.
Personality
Denji is a man who wants to live a simple life. He is childish, uneducated, and "Bonkers". Though he does kill devils, it's mostly because of his job, and for personal gain. He isn't fazed when his co-workers are killed.
Powers & Abilities:
Being the Chainsaw Man, Denji is observed to have superhuman physical abilities, that allows him to take on enemies that can easily slaughtered a group of fully grown human-beings. With the ability to instantly heal from almost any kinds of wounds in a speed that is extremely fast just by tasting blood.
