Dennis is a supporting character in the LEGO Nexo Knights TV series. He is a Squirebot who started out as Lance Richmond's butler but, frustrated with his master's behaviour, quit his job twice, eventually becoming a member of the Merry Mechs gang.
He was voiced by Michael Donovan.
Biography[]
Past[]
Dennis served the Richmond family and looked after their first child Lance since the latter was a baby. He did almost everything instead of the boy, and as a result he grew spoiled. Dennis, however, continued to serve Lance in spite of it.
Nexo Knights[]
Season 1[]
One day, when Lance made a mess in his room and expected Dennis to clean it up, the squirebot finally snapped, calling his master out for his bad manners and quitting. This ultimately proved to be unfortunate for Lance, as his armor got greasy and unfit for battle. With Dennis not around to clean it, he got captured by monsters. Dennis eventually grew worried about Lance and was rejoiced to see him alive and well after the battle at the capital. He agreed to return to his services, but only if Lance cleaned up after him once in a while, which the knight agreed to.
Season 3[]
When the Nexo Knights discussed the activity of the Merry Mechs gang and their leader, Robot Hoodlum, Dennis started an argument with them, as he believed Hoodlum wasn't and could never be a villain due to him commiting robbery only to help the poor. When Hoodlum, brainwashed by Monstrox, infiltrated the Fortrex to steal the knights' shields, Dennis was smitten with him and let his gang do so, only to realize his mistake. He led the knights to the Merry Mechs' hideout, able to detect it through the trail of leaked oil, and later found Aaron's Nexo Shield. Once Robot Hoodlum returned to normal, he offered Dennis to leave Lance and join his gang, to which he agreed.
Later, Dennis and the other Merry Mechs assisted Nexo Knights in a battle with Monstrox.
Season 4[]
When Monstrox became the Stone Colossus and attempted to destroy Knighton, the Merry Mechs, Dennis included, were among those attempting to stop him. Dennis later attended the victory celebration in Knightonia.
LEGO Nexo Knights magazine (non-canon)[]
In a 2018 issue of the official magazine, Dennis is shown to be once again serving Lance, implying he chose to return to him. A later issue reveals that he eventually got infected with the Monstrox virus, becoming the necromancer's minion and not hesitating to attack his former master, who was much more reluctant to fight the robot. He was eventually taken captive and put through Robin's desinfecting device, returning him to normal much to Lance's joy. Dennis is seen assisting Lance in battle after that.
Trivia[]
- It's hinted that Dennis may have a crush on Robot Hoodlum, as he accidentally called him a "hot bot" and used epithets such as "dashing" when talking about him.
- In the unreleased Season 5 of the show, there were plans for Dennis to be brainwashed by Monstrox and turned into a CyberByter who would fight against the knights.
