Derek Thornton Generic ("JEN|ər-ic") (born December 7, 1979), is Bobby's big brother, a tween/young teen with a rat-tail hairdo and a bullying manner. He loves to tease and insult Bobby, often calling him a "dork."
Bobby has a bad habit of listening to him. Derek tells scary lies which causes Bobby to be afraid to try new things.
It is revealed that he loves his toy baby blocks.
It also reveals that he was tease and insulted by his peers and he takes out his anger and frustration on Bobby. In Season 6 they changed the voice of Derek because Kevin Smets went through puberty.
