~ Desert Flower to Huckleberry |
Desert Flower is a main character of an animated television film The Good, the Bad, and Huckleberry Hound. A kind-hearted and gentle maiden from the tribe of the Native American coonhounds, she is the daughter of the tribal chief and the love interest and, in the end of the film, the wife of Huckleberry Hound.
She was voiced by B. J. Ward, who also voiced Velma Dinkley in the Scooby-Doo series, Betty Rubble in The Flintstones series, Princess Allura in Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Scarlett in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Casey Kelp in Snorks, Winnie Woodpecker in The New Woody Woodpecker Show, and Jana of the Jungle.
Biography
Although Desert Flower had only been seen in the movie The Good, the Bad, and Huckleberry Hound, she first appeared as she comes out of her father's teepee, skips down the rocky hill and picks flowers in the valley. Suddenly, she discovers a "mysterious blue hombre", Sheriff Huckleberry, after he survives the crash-landing. With Huck awaken with a memory loss (as a result of his injury), Desert Flower calls him the "Mysterious Blue Hombre with amnesia" and tells him that she would tend to him. And sure enough, the two quickly fall in love with each other.
