Biography[]
Before meeting her future husband, Desirée was attacked by two armed robbers while working at her previous job. Luckily, Ron DeLite—then employed as a security guard—came to her rescue. With nothing more than an incredibly loud shout, he managed to scare the attackers off. Desirée instantly fell for him, and the two were married not long after.
However, Ron's salary wasn't nearly enough to keep up with Desirée's love for shopping. In a desperate attempt to provide for her, he tried to steal confidential information from his employer, KB Security. The scheme failed, and he was caught and fired. Still, Ron couldn't bring himself to tell Desirée what had happened. He was too ashamed to admit he lost his job and terrified to confess to a crime, knowing how much Desirée despised criminals.
Determined to maintain her lavish lifestyle and terrified of losing her, Ron secretly adopted the identity of the notorious phantom thief "Mask☆DeMasque." Initially, he only intended to carry out one theft. But someone soon discovered his secret and began blackmailing him. Anonymous heist plans were sent to him along with threats to expose his identity unless he continued stealing.
Despite their apartment—on the third floor of the Palazzo Pelpepe—becoming increasingly filled with Mask☆DeMasque merchandise, Desirée refused to believe her husband could actually be the thief. She simply assumed he was an enthusiastic fan. Even when Ron confessed to her directly, Desirée brushed it off as him being delusional and continued believing he still worked for KB Security, assuming that was how he afforded her shopping sprees.
Eventually, Ron was arrested in connection with the theft of the Kurain Sacred Urn. During the trial, Desirée discovered the urn hidden in Luke Atmey's office. She rushed to the courtroom to present it as evidence, suspecting that Atmey—the so-called "Ace Detective" in charge of guarding the urn—was the true culprit. While the court initially believed the urn might be a fake, it was soon proven genuine when Phoenix Wright's fingerprints were found on it, confirming that he had earlier discovered it in Atmey's office. This became key evidence implicating Atmey as the real Mask☆DeMasque.
Unfortunately, Ron's troubles weren't over. He was soon arrested again, this time accused of murdering his former boss, Kane Bullard. On the night of the murder, Desirée had actually been pulled over for speeding on her motorcycle, which became part of the timeline in the investigation.
Months later, after Ron had been cleared of all charges, he and Desirée were seen visiting Zodiac Hall to view an exhibition of works by the late French sculptor Paul Halique. However, based on their conversation during the visit, it seemed they might have been entertaining thoughts of one last heist.
