Diablo is a major supporting character in the fantasy anime, manga and light novel series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. He currently serves as Rimuru Tempest’s Executive, butler within Jura Tempest as well as one of his most powerful members among the Twelve Guardian Lord, one of the seven Primordial Daemons and the leader of the Black Numbers.
Appearance[]
Diablo appears to be a young man with dark colored pupils, yellow glowing iris with a red line on each eyes and long black hair arriving at his ears with a red and two golden part at the front. As an Arch Daemon, he was dressed as a prince. Upon becoming a Daemon Lord, his outfit changes into a that of a butler as considered to serve Rimuru.
Personality[]
Diablo appears to be a very loyal individual to Rimuru, as he is willing to punish anyone who insults or threatens Rimuru, to which he usually has a calm and serious man. Nevertheless whenever someone is friend with Rimuru, he serves them in a polite way. His loyalty showed when Rimuru asks him to make the test for guard in Tempest to be harder to which Diablo summons a powerful monster. When one of the candidates of the test was seen struggling against the monster to which she was paralyzed by it, Diablo sealed away the monster showing the “grey areas” in his orders as Diablo has the will to modify his order as it is suitable. Another display for his politeness was when Tiss tried to summon him in order to help the Shizu’s students to which Diablo appears to give his aid and proceeds to finish off the enemy in an awful method. In addition he is also very intelligence and calculative sometimes.
Background[]
Alongside the others Primordials, he was known under the name of Noir. He has rarely showed any sign of emotions which caused the other Primordials to dislike him. At some time he decided to stop to trying to gain powers, due to him becoming so powerful that any fights becomes boring to him which resulting him in deciding to stay as an Arch Daemon which he was already powerful enough to evolve into a Daemon Lord. Some times after, he was summoned by the Silver Wings on a desire to which he had a chance to confront Shizu Izawa. During his battle with her, he managed to won. However the mask that Shizu was wearing made him realize that he unclear power which made caused him to fight off. He later on returns to the Spiritual World to analyze Shizu and her mask. The mask was then broken and gotten to Rimuru's hand, which made Noir assume that the power came from Rimuru as he is connected to the mask's power has the ability to surpass time and he concluded that Rimuru is the answer for the "Truth of the world". Afterwards, he attempted to get summoned by Rimuru by answering his call of summoning, but fails instead as Beretta, one of his descendant manage to answer the summon sooner. However he finally manages to answer Rimuru's second summoning as he summoned him to catch Razen alongside two others Greater Daemon, his followers. As the series progresses, he becomes more loyal to Rimuru and became his butler and was given a new name known as "Diablo" from Rimuru resulting in him evolving into a Daemon Lord.

Trivia[]
- His unique skill is Tempter, where he gains ownership of the soul of one who swears loyalty to him. It's through this that Diablo knows if his pawns die as he could sense when Ramun, the priest from Falmouth, was slain; he collected the soul as per the contact.
