Prince Diamant is one of the three tritagonists (alongside Ivy and Timerra) of Nintendo's 2023 tactical video game Fire Emblem Engage.

He is the crown prince and soon-to-be king of Brodia, the Kingdom of Might. He is also the son of King Morion and the older brother of Alcryst. He has two retainers named Jade and Amber.

He is voiced by Junichi Suwabe in Japanese and by Stephen Fu in English.

Appearance[]

Diamant is a tall handsome young man with peach skin and red hair and eyes.

He wears a light brown undershirt with a red chest plate, his arm guards, shoulder guards, and boots being brown with light fuzz around them, and a red cape with the Brodia symbol at the front right.

Personality[]

Diamant, as the crown prince has a serious demeanor,a s one can expect of the future King of Brodia, and is well versed in combat, history, and etiquette, learning all that he can so he can lead effectively. He holds his father in high esteem, though he is frustrated by his recklessness and stubborn adherence to honor. Nonetheless, he admires him and hopes to be as highly regarded one day. He is close to his younger brother Alcryst and supports him gently yet firmly to help his brother see his better qualities and is patient with his self-defeating attitude.

Unlike his father though, he wants to find diplomatic ways to deal with their rival kingdom, Elusia instead of endless slaughter. He worries about being a good leader as he worries that he won't be a good king. Even with his struggles, he still works hard to make a good leader.

Diamant shares some similarities to Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening:
- Both doubt their abilities at times.
- Both couldn't save their loved ones in time. (Morion for Diamant and Emmeryn for Chrom)
- Both have faced a Fell Dragon. (Grima for Chrom and Sombron for Diamant)
- Both of their fathers waged wars against their neighboring countries
