~ Dibella's commandment |
Dibella is is the goddess of beauty and love as well as one of the Nine Divines in the Elder Scrolls series. Is often worshipped by women, feminists, and even artists throughout Tamriel.
Role[]
Like Mara, she is also associated with love, although in this one towards the romantic side of a lover/spouse/mate rather than family. Worshippers of her also treasure not only love, but also kindness and friendship. In this case, she can also be affiliated with sexual desire. Many pantheons (though not all) recognize her as one of the prime deities. Her main chapel/temple is located in the city of Anvil in Cryodiil, although she also has a temple dedicated to her in the city of Markarth in Skyrim. Many of her priests tend to be exclusively female, thus giving into her role as a symbol to feminism.
In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, she plays a role where the Dovahkiin can receive her blessing from her temple in Markarth after finding her Sybil, a girl named Fjotra.
