Diego Necalli is the major protagonist in the Chaos story of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 zombies. he also a playable character in the game's Blackout mode.

He is portrayed and voiced by Christian Lanz, who also played Augustine Perez in Call of Duty: WWII.

Biography[]

Diego Necalli played the important role as a rebel during The Mexican Revolution and was allegedly involved in the executions of several government officials. Additionally, he also writes a series of his adventures, which is allegedly exaggerated and overly dramatized. He acted as an international spy by operating in foreign places like India and Denmark. Diego then changes his life when he met Alistair Rhodes in a saloon in Ciudad, Juarez during the revolution and they discussed about The medallion during the discussion. Before the two men were interrupted by The High Priest of Chaos and The Order Cultists via wearing normal clothes instead of the ceremonial dresses, who were also looking for the medallion. Suddenly, A fight broke out and Diego was knocked unconscious while Alistair was captured by The Order. Alistair then manages to steal a revolver from One of The Order Cultists before being saved by Diego and the two men escaped using a carriage. Diego finally agreed to give his medallion to Alistair, hoping to have it returned one day, before telling to leave the city for his safety. Having somehow managed to escape, Diego gave Alistair a gift, a medallion originally belonging to his mother. The medallion in turn, was given by Alistair to his daughter, Scarlett Rhodes.

After Alistair was captured by The Order during the party at his manor, Scarlett attempted tried to rescue her father. Suddenly, She had been given a letter prior by her father detailing three men who can help her find him. The Three Men are Diego, Stanton Shaw and Bruno Delacroix. On April 10th 1912, The four met in Southhampton, where Scarlett informed them they'd be stealing The Norse Artifact. They all agreed to help find her father and the group arrived on The Titanic. During the night of April 14th 1912, The group started their plan to steal the Norse Artifact. Diego charmed one of the passengers, Lady McKendrick, and stole the key to the millionaire suite where Bruno and Shaw sent a gas into the cargo room using the pneumatic tubes in the suite. Once the guard was knocked out, Scarlett entered the room and using a device of her own invention to open the safe where the artifact was kept. Unfortunately, the plan didn't go well as planned when an Order Cultist, bearing a red mark on his forehead, stole the artifact from Scarlett and took the medallion. While trying to flee, he was stopped by Bruno, Shaw and Diego who regrouped with Scarlett. The Cultist is now surrounded while activating The Norse Artifact but was kicked out of the protective circle by Scarlett and turned into a zombie like the rest of the passengers and crew. Soon after, The Titanic struck a massive iceberg allowing water to seep in. The Team proceeded and completed the trail and beat the Eye of Malice and Despair. After The Trial was completed, all the passengers and crew turned back to their normal forms and a vision of a doorway surrounded by two snake heads appeared in the cargo hold. Soon after, The Titanic started sinking and Scarlett, Bruno, Shaw and Diego took a lifeboat.

Elsewhere, The team traveled to Delphi in the Kingdom of Greece and ventured in a cave where they found a sealed door. The voice of an Oracle, The Oracle, The Team was now invited to breathe the vapors to find the knowledge they were seeking but warned them it was not intended for mortal man. Elsewhere, The Team was now transported to millennia and woke up in an ancient roman colosseum in Egypt. They watched The High Priest of Chaos activating The Egyptian Artifact in front of hundreds of The Order Cultists, all spared by The Prima Materia. The High Priest forced slaves to complete The Sentinel trial for him and The Team were next contenders. The Team completed The Trial by beating Fury and Wraith, The Zombified Elephants, by becoming the Champion of The Nine. Once the trial was completed, a portal appeared with the word Poseidon. Upon reaching his hand into the portal, The High Priest was attacked by Prima Materia only to be saved by the glyphs under his mask. Scarlett ordered The High Priest to grant them clemency as dictated in the Novum Ignotum proclamation, but The High Priest ordered his Cultists to behead them.

After The Team awaked from the hallucination, Scarlett immediately went towards a gate near them, placing her hand upon ancient symbols to open the gate. As the gate opened, it revealed a tunnel and the ancient city of Delphi. Noticing the ropes to climb down to the city, The Team realized that they were not the first to tread upon this city. Inside the city, they are led by The Oracle to the Temple of Apollo, where they found she was imprisoned within the city. She proclaimed that like her, Alistair was trapped in Delphi. Suddenly, The Team encountered Perseus, who is transformed into a Zombie Warlord. The Team confronted the undead demigod, who took control of Pegasus by striking him with a sword. After killing both Pegasus and Perseus and retrieving the Key, The Team returned to The Temple of Apollo to free The Oracle, Scarlett stays with The Oracle while Diego, Bruno and Shaw left to find Alistair beneath The Temple. They discovered that Alistair alongside several Cultists of The order were turned to Stone. Diego realized the true intention of The Oracle, and rushed to save Scarlett while The Order Brainwashed Bruno and Shaw stayed behind. As Scarlett freed the dying Oracle, She became mesmerized by The Oracle which allowed her to gain knowledge of modern history. Diego confronted The Oracle, who revealed herself as Medusa. Diego then hides behind the pillar as The Oracle attempted to attack him. She then released Scarlett, now in a comatose state, and picked up One of The Order Cultist's Masks and walked towards the Eternal Flame. Protected from The Prima Materia, She witnessed the vision in The Eternal Flame. As Diego hides with Scarlett behind the pillar, Medusa proclaimed that she would access The Library of The Nine, and that The Earth would be hers.
