Biography[]

Early Life[]

Prior to the 2030s, Dina and her older Talia survived the Cordyceps outbreak, and when she was ten years old, she killed a man that was attacking her mother. Living with her mother and sister, Dina was insisted by Talia to pray in Judaism, and she would have knowledge about the Torah. She would pray in the synagogue alongside her sister, and would continue the practice in private. Dina also reveals that her family would celebrate new year, and her sister would give her sweets. Talia would later be killed by an unnamed individual, and Dina mourned the death of his sister and became vengeful. Dina never found Talia's killer, but tells Ellie in Seattle that if she ever did, she would do far worse than what Tommy was doing to the W.L.F.

Dina traveled to Jackson, Wyoming where she found a settlement under the leadership of Tommy and Maria Miller, and became friends with survivors Joel Miller, Jesse and Ellie. Once settling in Jackson, she worked as a patrolmen there, clearing the outside of infected. She began a romantic relationship with Jesse, but the two would break up for unknown reasons before the events of The Last of Us Part II. Despite the break up, Dina was good terms with Jesse, and appeared to have some romantic interest in Ellie. In one of Ellie's journal, she notes that her relationship with Cat seemed to negatively affect Dina, who would distant herself while they were dating, and later lamented that she believed Cat wasn't the one for Ellie.

The Last of Us Part II[]

A few days after ending her relationship with Jesse, Dina attended a celebration in the church in Jackson, and was seen dancing with an unnamed man. She later danced with Ellie, lamenting to her that everyone in the room should be terrified of her since they were watching them dance. The two shared a kiss before Seth called Ellie a homophobic slur, which caused Joel to confront him before it was stopped by Tommy and Maria. The next day, Dina and Ellie were assigned to patrol the creek trails, which she used to do with Eugene Linden. While clearing the area of infected, a blizzard rolled through, forcing the two to rest in the library where Eugene had grown marijuana.

Dina and Ellie discussed about the previous night, and started a romantic relationship after doing an old joint that was grown by Eugene. The two were found by Jesse, revealing that Joel and Tommy didn't arrive to the lookout, and Dina takes another direction in an attempt to find them. Dina arrives at a cabin and finds Ellie unconscious and Joel brutally murdered, and mourned his loss with the rest of the community.
