Dizzy is one of the main characters of the childrens' show Bob the Builder and is one of Bob's machines.
In the original series, she is voiced by Kate Harbour (who also voices Wendy and Pilchard) in the UK, and by Maria Darling (who is also well known for voicing Roary in Roary the Racing Car) and Emma Tate (who also voices Lofty in the US and Benny in both dubs) in the US.
Biography[]
Dizzy was the third machine to join the Can-Do crew, who joined after Muck called her for help when Bob had troubles with cement mixing, she was also given headphones by Bob in a way of avoiding disruptions when she sung.
Personality[]
Dizzy is energetic, curious and cheerful, tomboyish and a bit of a know-it-all. Like Roley, she enjoys music but only listens to music with her headphones. She does have a soft spot for friends and she is always ready to lend a helping hand, it is revealed that her best friend is Muck she also has a little toddler sister name zahra the cement mixer who has adhd and Is pre diabetic and love doing ballet
Trivia[]
- In the original series, she has the ability to stand on her rear tires similar to how dogs can stand on their hind legs and is able to use her wheels like hands or feet.
- She had a walkman which was later removed in Project Build It, though it reappeared in "When Bob Became a Builder".
- Dizzy's original movement sound is a simple squeaking sound effect.
- Dizzy can also use her wheels to pick things up and throw them, as shown in "Mucky Muck".
- Prior to Scratch's introduction in Ready Steady Build, Dizzy was the youngest machine in the original series.
- Dizzy is the only machine character to appear in every episode in the second season of Ready Steady Build.
- Dizzy is female in all versions except for the Romanian version in which Dizzy is male.
- In the Finnish version, Dizzy is called "Hyrre".
- Most TV sites incorrectly list Lorelei King as her late 2007 to 2011 US voice but if you listen closely Emma Tate.
