“ | Stories are scarce resource here. Fact and paperwork, they outline world. Worship rigidness. Clarity. Loneliness. But they do not paint the colours. Stories worship the soul. | „ |
~ Strelnikov to Clef in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Jailor". |
Dmitri Arkadeyevich "Waxx" Strelnikov is a protagonist in the SCP Foundation series. He is one of the more well known agents of the SCP Foundation, having been recruited from the Russian military to serve as a site security director. He was known to be one of the more proficient and dangerous soldiers employed by the Foundation, being an expert in war and best friend of Dr. Clef.
He plays a minor role in the "Resurrection" canon.
Appearance[]
Strelnikov appeared as a Caucasian man with teeth replaced with steel ones, Slavic face, a bloodshot eye and wearing militaristic clothes. On another account, Strelnikov had straight shoulders, upright back, slightly outgrown buzz cut, and a deep messy scar on his right cheek.
Powers and Abilities[]
Strelnikov was a normal human being with no real powers. What he lacked in superpower he strived in his fighting skills and bloodlust. After joining the Russian military and fighting in devastating wars, Strelnikov became a militaristic strategist and an expert in various types of weaponry and gear. He always held a large number of bullets to avoid running out of ammunition and in that case he brought by his side a knife as a backup weapon, and his preferred weapons of choice were the Kalashnikova Series, a SVD Designated Marksman's Rifle and a PKM Squad Avtomatchik Weapon. He was also capable of driving tanks, particularly those manufactured in Russia, as he deemed it a great advantage in warfare.
Personality[]
“ | There is that sheepish smile again. Disarming in exactly the right way. He truly is an artist, but not just of the stage or spoken word. A man of pure pathos. | „ |
~ Clef's inner monologue about Strelnikov. |
Having grown up in Moscow, Russia during the time of the Soviet Union, Strelnikov dearly loved and valued his home country, deeming it one of the more beautiful places in the world, though he secretly detested the communist regime that had plagued the country and damaged its beauty. He also dearly loved his first love Eva Katarinovna, spending much of their time together and were almost inseparable, but when the time came for Strelnikov to execute his duty he was forced to leave her, leaving both them heartbroken. He was more than ready to fight for not only his homeland, but for the whole world, joining the Russian military to help in any way he could. During the Chechen Wars, Strelnikov became an expert and proud fighter and a weapons enthusiast, risking his life multiple times to save young innocent lives, including countless children, from enemy forces. However, having witnessed the horrors of war and what their enemies were capable of doing, Strelnikov developed a deep-seated hatred towards all Chechens, deeming them as irredeemable monsters who were ready to take innocent lives at any time. Everytime he came across a Chechen, or any type of enemy for that matter, Strelnikov would show no mercy and massacre his enemy without giving a second thought, though he would go even further and kill his enemy's entire family to prove a point. To add to this he also held a dislike towards Gypsies, vegetarians and weaponry or vehicles not of Russian origin. Upon joining the SCP Foundation, Strelnikov befriended various doctors, forming a particular close friendship with the infamous Dr. Clef as he just like him was a weapons enthusiast. During his time serving in the Foundation, Strelnikov became notorious for his poor English speech with a thick accent, being somewhat of a womanizer, constantly drinking vodka and having a weird sense of humor, causing some personnel to think he was mentally ill. He was ready to go in missions to fight anomalies in order to protect the world, and came to value his friends as he often hanged out with them and had a great time together.
