Dokko is one of the main characters of the KikoRiki franchise. He is a highly intelligent moose and a skilled multi-field scientist, who utilizes his research to help his friends and society at large.
He is voiced by Mikhail Chernyak in Russian and by David Wills, Brian Drummond and Tyler Bunch in various English dubs.
Biography[]
Past[]
As a youth, Dokko was very intelligent for his age, but also mean-spirited and hooliganish. As a result, nobody wanted to be friends with him. Thus, he created a clone of himself, and together the two caused mayhem and bullied others. Eventually, however, Dokko became a nicer person, while his clone remained cruel, and they broke up, with the clone pursuing his creator ever since.
Dokko once had a girlfriend, but she ditched him for a guy with bigger horns. This motivated him to become a scientist that would be awarded the Nobel Prize, so that his love would realize that she made the wrong choice.
As an adult, Dokko discovered six inert gases that did not react with any other elements: helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon), but his discovery was deemed pointless and he became a laughingstock among other scientists.
KikoRiki[]
In the present, Dokko lives on KikoRiki Island with his other friends.
After learning that Pluto had been demoted to a dwarf planet, Dokko protested this decision and went on a hunger strike in an effort to persuade the IAU to repel their decision. Several days in, he was visited by a delegation of Plutonians, who expressed gratitude for his devotion, proclaiming him a Hero of Pluto, and tried to persuade him to leave with them before their fleet would destroy the Earth. Dokko, however, pleaded for them to spare the planet, and they agreed to reconsider their course of action. The next day, he was forced to end his hunger strike due to exhaustion.
Legend of the Golden Dragon[]
Dokko invented the Improverizer, a device that allowed two persons to switch their abilities between each other, and was going to show it off at a conference. Before the conference, however, Wally tried to use the device for his own needs and set it on max power, which resulted in him accidentally switching bodies with a caterpillar. Dokko and his friends crash-landed in the jungle and lost Wally, but discovered that the caterpillar in his body was worshipped as "the Golden Dragon" by the local natives. They attempted to infiltrate the village and retrieve their friend's body, but failed and were exposed and nearly killed. Eventually, they reunited with their friend and were rescued by Rosa and Olga. They only barely managed to put Wally and the caterpillar back into their proper bodies. The Improverizer got destroyed in the process, but Dokko didn't feel much regret, as Wally made him realize that anyone could change themselves without any gadgets if they wanted to.
Personality[]
As a devoted scientist, Dokko often puts his profession before anything else. It's hard to make him change his mind, and he is ready to give his life for the sake of preserving the truth or making a major contribution to science. Despite happening to quarrel with his friends for valid and petty reasons, he cares for them greatly and may even provide them with helpful advice. His actions and intelligence had saved the KikoRiki and the world itself more than once, but while it's common for him to take great pride in his intelligence, he doesn't seem to think much of his more daring actions.
Trivia[]
- Dokko's canonical birthday is May 25.
- In an early episode, Dokko was shown to be an astrologer, despite it being considered a pseudo-science, and him usually treating such with scepticism. Ironically, it's later revealed in Pin-Code that his gender-bent counterpart from an alternate reality is a full-time astrologer.
