Donatello is one of the four main protagonists of Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles duology. He is the younger brother of Leonardo and Raphael and older brother of Michelangelo, the adoptive son of Splinter.
He is portrayed by Jeremy Howard.

Dontello was mutated for secret project known as "Renaissance" by Eric Sacks alongside his partner Dr. O'Neil, along with his brothers Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo and a rat named Splinter, where Sacks and his master and adoptive father, the Shredder, the leader of the terrorist ninja group the Foot Clan, secretly planned to started a chemical outbreak in New York City and use the mutagen as an antidote for the outbreak, so that make Sacks would become more wealthy and make him look like a hero. With the mutagen being injected into their bodies Donatello, his brothers and Splinter's size, intelligence and strength increased. However, Sacks and the Shredder's plans came to a halt when Doctor O'Neil learned of it and set the laboratory on fire and destroyed the research to stop them while Dr. O'Neil's daughter, April saved the turtles, and Splinter and released them into the sewers for their Safety. After Dontello and his brothers were taken by Splinter who raised them as his sons and began them ninjutsu after he taught himself for the next fifteen years so they be to protect themselves and remain hidden from the world. Donatello became the inventor of his brothers.

As Donatello and his brothers continued their training, they also kept an eye on the Foot Clan. One night Donatello and his brothers learned that the Foot a holding a subway station full of people, including April who was now a reporter for the Channel Six News, hostage, after Raphael had stopped them form an attempted robbery from the previous night and they were ordered by the Shredder to lure him out. However, Donatello and his brothers arrived at the scene on a train passing by the station and turned out the lights so one would see them clearly. After the brothers fought and defeated the Foot Clan members left the station.
