Doublecross is a minor character from the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure released in 1987.

Biography[]

Doublecross was one of the Monsterbots, Autobots who transformed into strange creatures. Doublecross transformed into a two-headed creature resembling a dragon, with the two heads thinking independently. He first appeared in the Headmasters miniseries where he and fellow Monsterbots Grotusque and Repugnus chose to join Fortress Maximus on his quest to abandon the war on Cybertron and find a new planet on which to settle. After Scorponok's Decepticons followed the group to Nebulos and captured Fortress Maximus and the other Autobot Headmasters, Doublecross was part of a unit sent to prevent the Decepticons taking over the Mercury Gardens. However, the group were overwhelmed and Grotusque ordered the Monsterbots, the only survivors of the battle, to retreat. They were forced to report their failure to acting leader Pointblank.

Doublecross' only appearance in the main Marvel UK comic was in Issue #41. After Fortress Maximus' crew made contact with the Earth Autobots, Doublecross was present with the combined groups on the moon to witness a duel between Grimlock and Blaster for leadership. He may have been among the casualties when the group was ambushed by a large force from Ratbat's Earth Decepticons.
