He was voiced by Kenji Nomura in Japanese, and by Arnell Powell in English.
Biography[]
Past[]
Doug Robinson was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1972. Eventually, he joined the United States Army as a helicopter pilot and took part in the Gulf War, after which he was promoted to the rank of captain.
Assault Horizon[]
Doug Robinson became part of NATO's Task Force 108, meant to deal with the SRN insurgency in East Africa. During a mission, he encountered rebels handling a powerful Trinity warhead and barely survived its explosion. He took part in other missions, such as rescuing Sergei Illich from the rebels and escorting troops to Mogadiyu.
Once the New Russian Federation rebels revealed themselves through the moles they had in Task Force 108, Doug joined the missions against them. Notably, during the battle for Moscow, he brought upon the defeat of NRF forces in the city, but was once again hit with a Trinity blast, this time launched by the rebels, though he yet again managed to survive it and get back into action in a short time.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the case was with William Bishop and Guts, Doug got to keep his facial hair in the final game, as his trimmed moustache are not banned by the US military regulations.
- Doug Robinson is the only playable Ace Combat character to date to have piloted a helicopter, and one of the three (alongside two helicopter door gunners) not to use a plane.
