Dr. Ashley Kafka

Ashley Kafka is a doctor at the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane and the love interest of Eddie Brock in the 1994 Spider-Man cartoon, Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

Her story

While at Ravencroft, Ashley began treating Eddie Brock who was convinced that he was the supervillain Venom.

She didn't believe him and tried to convince him this was just a delusion brought on by his stress of losing his job, apartment and reputation. Over time, Eddie fell in love with her.

One day, the infamous criminal Cletus Kasady was brought in. That same day, a young woman, who was under the control of the Venom Symbiote, came to bond with Eddie reforming Venom.

He escaped and went to attack Stark Enterprises. A man came and the Carnage Symbiote bonded with Kletus to form Carnage.

Carnage then went around attacking people. Venom came for Ashley and she convinced Eddie to give up the symbiote.

They went to Curt Connors who separated the two. She went to talk Kasady out of his rampage but was captured.

Eddie rejoined with the symbiote and joined forces with Spider-Man and Iron Man to stop Carnage, Baron Mordo and Dormammu.

They were successful, but Eddie/Venom was sucked into the portal to save her from getting the portal with Carnage. His last words were that he loved Ashley.

Dr. Kafka also treated Harry Osborn when he was incarcerated in Ravencroft.
