~ Dr. Gerald |
Dr. Gerald is a supporting character in the Sonic the Comic Online! webcomic, the "unofficially official" continuation of Sonic the Comic. He is a scientist employed by G.U.N. who, in the timeline where Super Sonic destroyed almost all life on Mobius, developed the means to travel back in time and stop him.
Appearance[]
Dr. Gerald is a Mobian dog with beige fur. He had prominent mustache and wears pince-nez glasses, a while lab coat and red gloves and boots.
Biography[]
Dr. Gerald worked for G.U.N. in the ruined future. Desperate to find a way to defeat Super Sonic (or as he was known by then, "the Iblis"), he and his team of scientists sought to develop a time machine to undo the disaster that happened. After two years, they succeeded, but the machine still needed Chaos Emeralds to function. G.U.N. sent Silver to fetch them from the Floating Island, and while the time machine was successfully activated, the emeralds drew Super Sonic to the hideout, which he attacked, presumably killing everyone except Silver, who got sent back in time.
After Super Sonic's rampage was undone, the timeline Silver came from was erased. It's unknown if Dr. Gerald still exists in the new future.
Trivia[]
- Dr. Gerald is clearly based on Professor Gerald Robotnik, a character from Sonic the Hedgehog games. Unlike his inspiration, Dr. Gerald is a Mobian rather than a human, and isn't related to Ivo Robotnik.
