Julius Michael Hibbert, M.D., better known as Dr. Hibbert, is one of the supporting characters of The Simpsons. He is Springfield's most prominent and competent doctor, though he sometimes makes no effort to hide or make light of his high prices. Hibbert is very good-natured, and is known for finding a reason to laugh at nearly every situation. Hibbert is a good doctor, much better than Dr. Nick Riviera.
Bio[]
Dr. Hibbert is a genius who graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also a member of Mensa and one of the few African-American characters in the series to have a regular role. Hibbert is less stupid and clumsy than many of the other characters in the series, although he does have a strange habit of laughing at unwanted moments. He also gives questionable solutions to certain medical problems. Hibbert is the regular doctor of the Simpson family. There are hints in the series that Dr. Hibbert does not consider himself above dubious medical practices. When Marge Simpson once stopped him from buying a bad house, he promised to give her pills from now on, without her having to bring a prescription.
