~ Dr. Teef offering Sector V free appointments |
Dr. Sigmund Teef is a minor character in Codename: Kids Next Door, appearing as a supporting character in the episode "Operation: T.E.E.T.H." He is a dentist who works in an office near Mr. Jelly's candy shop.
He was voiced by Jeff Bennett.
Biography[]
Not much is known about his early life except that he became a dentist and began working at his own dentist office. He also went to the same dental school as Mr. Jelly (who would later become Knightbrace), either as a student or a teacher.
In "Operation: T.E.E.T.H.," his only appearance, he offered Sector V free dentist appointments after seeing the state of their teeth, which they rudely refused. They also assumed Teef to be behind the mask of Knightbrace, but they would be proven wrong when he walked into the room (thus proving his innocence) and they unmasked Mr. Jelly instead. The villain traps the kids and tries to brush Numbuh 1's teeth, but Dr. Teef saves them by exploiting Knightbrace's weakness, a rope of taffy, to disable his Dental Assault Chair.
Later, after Knightbrace is defeated, Dr. Teef assures the kids he will be taken to the Dental Establishment for reforming, and that Mr. Jelly's "lazy brother-in-law" will take over the candy shop. He then offers them free appointments, which they blew off.
Trivia[]
- Dr. Teef keeps his office open after midnight.
- His surname is a pun on "Teeth," and may be a reference to the Muppet Dr. Teeth. His first name may also reference Sigmund Freud.
- He is the first adult on the show to help the KND.
