Background[]

Physical Appearance[]

Drix is a red and yellow cold pill with a robotic-like body. His chest is red with a yellow plus sign in the center surrounded in a yellow circle which opens up, revealing all kinds of medical bullets used for his cannon. He has yellow arms and while his hands are red, his left hand is converted into a cannon, which Drix uses to put out inflammation, dry snout, shoot medical bullets or grenades that he keeps in his chest, etc. His face is the shape of a pill where the upper part of his face his red and the lower part where his mouth is located is yellow. Drix has white eyes with black pupils and a small mouth. In addition, Drix does not have any legs where he instead moves through effervescent propulsion ejected from his feet, similar to how rockets are ejected.

Personality[]

He is a follower of written rules and compensates for his doubts of himself by acting haughtily. He is intelligent, clever, and dedicated to work. Strait-laced and by-the-book, he is in disagreement with the crude humor and unorthodox methods of Ozzy, but respects Ozzy as a partner due to his dedication to fighting diseases.

Life[]

Drix is first seen arriving in Frank, at request of the Mayor, via a Drixenol cold pill that Frank takes with some milk, arriving in the stomach to be welcomed to the City of Frank by Mayor's Secretary Leah Estrogen and FPD Patrolman Osmosis Jones. Drix and Ozzy then head to the throat to deal with the inflammation there caused by the deadly virus Thrax. From there, they then head to the nose, where they nearly get expunged from Frank's body after Thrax has his men sabotage the membrane dam and Ozzy and Drix get caught up in the mucus/snot that dribbles out of Frank's nose before he inhales it back in, saving them. They later travel to Cerebellum Hall to speak with Mayor Phlegmming, but when Phlegmming refuses to believe Frank is in mortal danger from Thrax and threatens to send Ozzy out in the next nosebleed, he offers Drix the chance to be paired with a new partner, but Drix chooses to stay with Ozzy, which Phlegmming reluctantly accepts.

On their way to the liver, Drix asks about what Phlegmming said about Ozzy "having a record". Ozzy explains that when he was on routine patrol in the stomach a couple of years ago, Frank ingested some foul oysters from a student's science experiment. Noticing a dangerous-looking bacteria or virus on the oysters, Ozzy, in a moment of split-second decision, hit the "puke" button, causing Frank to vomit all over Shane's teacher, Mrs. Boyd. While Ozzy saved Frank, the photo of Frank throwing up made the local newspaper, and Frank was fired from his original job at the pea soup factory by his infuriated supervisor over the humiliating picture, Mrs. Boyd took out a 200-yard restraining order on Frank for the humiliation he caused her and her children, and Shane's social life went down the drain as well. Ozzy was punished for "use of excessive force" and reassigned to out of the way patrols to keep him out of trouble ever since. Drix sympathizes with Ozzy, saying he made the right call, which makes Ozzy feel better about it.

After gathering information from Chill, a flu vaccine, he and Ozzy go up to The Zit Club to confront Thrax and his men.

There, almost everyone is killed due to one of his medicine grenades being thrown by Osmosis Jones at Thrax and his crew. Both he and Ozzy are fired by the mayor for excessive force, and in an attempt to cover the seriousness of Thrax's infection. This also ruined a chance for Frank to apologize to Mrs. Boyd and get the restraining order lifted so he could go on a father/daughter hike with Shane, as The Zit Club popping landed on her lower lip, disgusting her so much that she vehemently refused and ordered Frank out of the school before she called the police on him if he didn't since he had already violated the restraining order talking to her.

Just before Drix leaves Frank by way of the Bladder, he teams back up with Ozzy and hunts down Thrax. He and Ozzy chase Thrax from the Hypothalamus to the mouth, where they confront him in the Uvula.

Frank is taken to the hospital under the influence of Thrax's attack, much to Phlegmming's frustration as it means the trip to Buffalo is off and his re-election chances went with it. Seeing Frank being loaded into the ambulance in critical condition after having had an argument with him last night, Shane abandons Mrs. Boyd and her classmates to be driven to the hospital by her Uncle Bob, fearing she caused Frank to lose the will to live. Ozzy and Drix rescue Leah and confront Thrax who leaves Frank's mouth after causing Frank to sneeze using pollen bombs.

Ozzy is launched out after him by Drix, where Ozzy and Thrax fight on one of Shane's eyeballs and end up on Shane's false eyelashes after she blinks, which she was wearing atop her natural ones. During the fight, Thrax threatens to break his own record by killing Shane next, but Ozzy tricks him into getting stuck on Shane's false eyelash and fall into a vessel of alcohol below where he dissolves.

During this time, the situation becomes even more dangerous when the temperature hits 108 degrees, causing Frank to go into cardiac arrest. Drix is with the Chief and Leah in the Uvula, waiting for Ozzy, but when it appears he won't make it back in time, Drix comforts Leah as she weeps at having lost hope as Frank flatlines. The Chief also hangs his head in defeat, believing Frank is doomed.

Just as all is lost, Ozzy arrives back at the Uvula in one of Shane's tears with the missing DNA chain. It is quickly reinstalled in the hypothalamus, resuscitating Frank as his body temperature drops back to a safe 98.6 degrees, restarting all his organs, including his heart, just in time. As Ozzy is reinstated into Immunity, he plans on extending Drix's time in Frank with a little help from the hemorrhoid.
