“ | I've watched humans destroy each other when I could stop it all in a heartbeat. Do you know what that does to someone after centuries? Could our mission have been a mistake? Are we really helping these people build a better world? We're just like the soldiers down there: pawns to their leaders. Blinded by loyalty. | „ |

Biography[]
Background[]
Druig and the Eternals were created by the Celestials and Arishem the Judge to eradicate Deviants, which could power a new Celestial and destroy the planet, but the Eternals believed they were assign to protect others from the Deviants due to having their memories erased and reset. Each time they succeeded in their mission, a new Celestial would be born from the destroyed planet, and the Celestials continued this process. Druig was given the same powers of superhuman capabilities, but was able to manipulate cosmic energy to control and possess minds.
The Celestials would send the Eternals to Earth in 5000 BC, where Druig assisted his allies in stopping the Deviants from harming civilization. Druig would come to develop compassion towards humanity, which would turn for the worse during Spain's invasion of the Aztecs in the 1500s. Though he wanted to help humanity, he found no support from the Eternals, and decided to leave the group to guide and protect mankind. He started his own community in South America, and used his mind controlling powers to keep them under his supervision.
Eternals[]
Continuing to run his community within the Amazon Rainforest, Druig would encounter his allies when they needed to gather everyone to deal with the Deviants. He initially refused and mocked his fellow Eternals for their previous doings, but the compound was attacked by Kro. Druig would protect his followers and take them away from the compound, and later mourned the death of Gilgamesh, who's powers and life force was taken by Kro. Druig decided to join them to stop the Deviants, and they traveled to Iraq to locate the Domo, where they found Makkari. While Phastos worked on creating the Uni-Mind to stop the Celestials, Druig came to the conclusion that Ikaris caused Ajak's death.
Druig and the Eternals would battle Ikaris and Sprite while Sersi worked on trying to stop Tiamut, and they successfully managed to kill the Celestial after Ikaris and Sprite decided to join their powers into the Uni-Mind. Afterward, Druig decided to leave Earth to find other Eternals across the galaxy. Druig and the others came across Starfox, the brother of Thanos, who informed them that their friends were in danger as Thena deduced that Arishem had captured them.

Trivia[]
- Keanu Reeves, Luke Evans, Rami Malek and Ian McShane were considered for the role before Barry Keoghan was cast.
- In the comics, Druig is the one who betrayed the Eternals as he is power-hungry, and often enters into opposition with the other Eternals in an attempt to usurp power and control them. However, in the film, Ikaris turned against the Eternals as they’re interfering with Tiamut’s Emergence, even killing Ajak to do so.
