Duca degli Abruzzi is a character and one of the heroes from the Kantai Collection series who was implemented into the game on the 30th of August, 2019. She is the sister of Giuseppe Garibaldi and the Fleet Girl counterpart to the Abyssal Mediterranean Princess.
She is voiced by Moriyama Yurika and drawn by Jiji.
Biography[]
Luigi di Savoia Duca degli Abruzzi was an Italian Duca degli Abruzzi-class light cruiser, which served in the Regia Marina during World War II. After the war, she was retained by the Marina Militare and decommissioned in 1961. She was built by OTO at La Spezia and named after Luigi Amedeo, Duke of the Abruzzi, an Italian explorer and Admiral of World War I.
Appearance[]
She has fair skin, long pink hair, as opposed to her sister, Giuseppe Garibaldi, that has a short pink hair. She wears a pair of white gloves.
Trivia[]
- The fifth design in a sequence of light cruiser types she was significantly better armed and armoured than her cousins before her.
- Laid down on 28th Dec '33 she eventually comissioned on 1st Dec '37.
- She would see action at the Battles of Calabrai and Matapan, and following Italy's surrender was allowed to continue service for the allies in the South Atlantic.
- She was retained by Italy post-war and refitted, going on to survive until 1961, and eventually sold off in 1972.
